✨ Empowerment, Leadership, and Impact: A Historic Milestone for the Rotary Club of Uyo! ⚙️🌟
What an extraordinary day of celebration, fellowship, and impactful service!
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, members, dignitaries, and friends of the Rotary Club of Uyo gathered at the Helemah Event Center, Uyo, for a spectacular landmark event: the Installation Ceremony of our 43rd President, Rtn. Maryleony Essien, PHF, alongside the inauguration of the 2026/2027 Board of Directors and the induction of vibrant new members.
🔑 Highlights of the Event were as follows:
👑 Passing the Leadership Torch: We celebrated the remarkable leadership of outgoing President Rtn. Utomobong 'lulu' Ukpanah and officially ushered in a dynamic new era under our 43rd President, Rtn. Maryleony Essien, PHF.
⚙️ In a bid to create sustainable futures, and be true to the Rotary tradition of Service Above Self, the major highlight of the day was our 2026/2027 Vocational Service Project. We proudly presented 4 commercial grinding machines to local entrepreneurs, empowering them with practical tools to grow their businesses, achieve economic independence, and strengthen our local economy!
Guests were treated to delightful performances by the talented students of Ritman College and pupils of Monef Schools, filling the hall with joy and energy.
We also grew our Rotary family by warmly welcoming our newly inducted members and inaugurated a dedicated Board of Directors ready to steer the club toward greater heights.
"Service to humanity is the rent we pay for our room here on earth."💕✌️🎈✨️✍️🎊
Special thanks to the Installation Planning Committee led by Secretary Rtn. Anagu Muhd Paraklitus, IPC Chairman PAG Ubong Obot, MD, our distinguished guests, and every Rotarian who made this event an unforgettable success!
Here’s to a year of extraordinary service, fellowship, and community transformation under the leadership of President Maryleony Essien, PHF! 🥂✨
