REPORT OF WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY 2026
Human Empowerment and Development Initiative participated in World Oral Health Day 2026 convened by Network of Entrepreneurial Women (NNEW).
This was a zoom online event held on the 26th March, 2026. The World Oral Health Day 2026 event was moderated by Uloma Nkemakolam and jointly facilitated by Afolabi Oyapeno and NNEW Lagos (host).
Participants were made to understand improper oral hygiene can lead to tooth decay, bleeding gum, disease of the mouth, mouth odor, infection of the heart etc
Women are mostly affected because of their hormones and tend to suffer bone mass loss leading to teeth falling off during old age.
The event was an interactive session where questions from participants were addressed.
