Thank you for joining this movement. Your enthusiasm to develop yourselves and become relevant—not only to Akwa Ibom State but to the world—by leveraging your skills for change and prosperity is truly commendable.
Our Vision: The Ibom Skills Hub
The Ibom Skills Hub was founded in 2020 with the mission to empower the people of Akwa Ibom State with the necessary skills to create wealth and uplift their communities.
Our journey began in 2021 with a free, two-day training on Surveillance and Security Technology in Wuse, Abuja. This physical training, sponsored by well-meaning Akwa Ibomites and myself, and in partnership with WaveCrest (one of Africa's foremost Business and Organizational Solutions Companies), was a resounding success. We are proud to report that 10 participants secured employment after the program, including two foreign jobs. Inspired by this impact, we organized several other empowering training sessions.
Scaling Up: A Grand Vision for 2025 and Beyond
In 2025, we decided to expand our vision beyond fragmented trainings to create the largest digital skills hub in Africa. This is an achievable goal, and you, our members, are the nucleus of this exciting movement.
Just as China is known for having one of the largest skilled populations globally, we want Akwa Ibom to be recognized worldwide—not just for our delicious food, rich culture, warmth, and energy resources—but as the home of Africa’s largest digitally skilled talent pool. When the world thinks of technology, skills, Artificial Intelligence, robotics, graphics, digitalization, and IT knowledge, we want them to think of Akwa Ibomites.
This hub will be robust and diverse, meeting the global demand for digital talent. Companies will recruit from here, seek partnerships, request solutions, and learn from the expertise within this community.
A Call to Action for Participants
For those who have already started their courses, we urge you to commit to your studies and strive for excellent grades, as admission to the hub will be merit-based. For those yet to begin, we strongly encourage you to start your free digital courses now. We are seeking to admit only bright and honest Akwa Ibomites.

Next Steps and Communication
For seamless communication and operational efficiency, we will soon place all members into a WhatsApp or Telegram group.
We are also planning a physical Hub launch in 2026 and look forward to a significant turnout. Details will be communicated via email, WhatsApp, and Telegram and social media channels.
