The Director General NAPTIP, Binta Adamu Bello, OON, today 10th April 2025, received Martin's Vincent Otse (a. k.a. Verydarkman- VDM), a popular social media socialite who is quite passionate about creating a positive difference in the lives of the vulnerable. He was in the company of his Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, Esq.

Mr. Martins Otse(VDM) briefed the DG NAPTIP about his encounter with some Nigerian girls during a recent visit to a mining site in Cote D' D'Ivoire and expressed serious concern about their plights.
Apparently worried about the level of exploitation and dehumanizing conditions they are subjected to by their traffickers, he called for an urgent need to rescue them.

In her speech, the DG appreciated his concern for the plight of the girls and educated him on the basic protocol and international procedures for the rescue of victims with special regard to the sovereignty of nations as it concerns another Country.

The NAPTIP boss outlined the various interventions and rescue of victims carried out by the Agency and assured that NAPTIP has already commenced discussions with partners in Cote Dโ€™ Ivoire with a view to ensuring their timely rescue and evacuation.

The high point of the visit was a promise by VDM to join hands with NAPTIP in the fight against human trafficking through technical support and awareness creation on the dangers of human trafficking as well a robust partnership to end human trafficking in Nigeria.
