At our Support Group meeting this Saturday, we will be discussing "Endometriosis 101": what is endometriosis, symptoms of endometriosis, diagnosis of endometriosis, treatment options, complex cases of endometriosis, co-morbidities, risk factors and much more...

Our special guest is Dr. Christian Olajuwon Alabi, a reputable consultant gynaecologist with extensive experience in women’s health; and particular interest in endometriosis, gynaecological oncology, advanced benign gynaecological surgery and early pregnancy care.

He has worked across both the UK and Nigeria; and is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care while contributing to clinical education, service development and multidisciplinary team working.

Dr. Alabi has particular interest in improving the diagnosis and management of complex endometriosis and advancing standards of women’s healthcare.
We are honoured to have him join our meeting this Saturday!💃🏾

Are you living with and in need of more information on how to manage this tricky disease? Then you should not miss this Saturday's meeting.

Send a DM to register or use the contact details on the flier. Looking forward to connecting with you! Registration is free.

📌🔊 Do you know someone battling endometriosis or adenomyosis? The constant pain, the struggle to conceive, the shame, loneliness, hopelessness, anxiety and frustration...

Far too many women live with stories of late diagnosis, co-morbidities, limited access to care, and indifference towards a healthcare system that offers no real solution.

That narrative has to change. A strong community can make all the difference — offering the right information, compassionate guidance, emotional and mental strength, and much-needed practical help for both patients and those who care for them.

Join us for our Annual EndoSurvivors Support Group meetings for women living with endometriosis and adenomyosis. Meetings will hold via Zoom every Saturday for 4 weeks — October 10th through 31st, at 2pm (Nigeria).

Expect real-life stories of resilience from warriors, shared coping strategies, and insightful sessions led by healthcare specialists and expert patients.

The EndoSurvivors Support Group is completely free of charge:
✅ No subscription fees
✅ No negative energy
✅ A safe and supportive space
✅ Filled with care and understanding

Endometriosis can develop, persist, or worsen at any stage of life before children, after children, or even after menopause in some cases. Having a baby doesn’t “clear” endo tissue, and pregnancy is not a form of treatment or prevention. Some women are only diagnosed years after their last pregnancy, once symptoms become impossible to ignore.

In our Patient Support Group, we have seen a few women whose symptoms relieve after childbirth - this is however, not a rule of thumb.

If you’ve had children and you’re still dealing with severe period pain, pelvic pain, chest pain/shoulder pain/breathlessness during your period or pain during intimacy - your symptoms are still valid. Motherhood doesn’t cancel out endometriosis, and it shouldn’t cancel out your right to answers.

Pregnancy can temporarily relieve endometriosis symptoms. During pregnancy, a woman’s body is flooded with high levels of progesterone which suppresses the menstrual cycle. Once hormone levels go back to normal and periods return often after birth or stopping breastfeeding, endometriosis symptoms most likely return.

Save this post so you can reference it at your next doctor’s visit if you need to.
