Today is more than a celebration. It is a reminder of the strength, resilience, and quiet sacrifices of women everywhere.
Women are the backbone of families, communities, and economies. From the farms to the marketplaces, from homes to boardrooms, women continue to show courage, creativity, and determination even when the odds are not in their favor.
I see this every day through the women we work with, hardworking women who wake up early, nurture their families, support their communities, and still pursue their dreams. Their strength inspires everything we do.
At GALI empowering women is not just an idea, it is part of our journey. Every product we process, every opportunity we create, and every step forward is connected to the belief that when women are supported, communities grow stronger.
Today we celebrate the achievements of women, but we also renew our commitment to creating more opportunities for women to learn, lead, and thrive.

Our mentorship class just started a few days ago. Mentorship with M&H, and it’s already becoming a safe, powerful space for growth and self-discovery. This is for young people and anyone who truly wants to understand themselves better, discover their purpose, clarify their values, and make sense of why they do what they do. Many people move through life busy but confused; this mentorship helps you slow down, reflect, and gain direction.
Led by Dr. Happiness Ntuenibok and Moyawa, this program is not about motivational talk alone. We are hand-picking participants and walking with them intentionally through real conversations about career choices, life decisions, purpose, relationships, leadership, and personal growth. You will be guided to identify your capabilities, develop your ideas, and build the confidence to become who you are meant to be.
The mentorship is completely free, but it is not casual. There are assignments, follow-ups, and accountability, because growth requires commitment. If you are tired of guessing, feeling stuck, or repeating the same cycles, this is your opportunity to gain clarity and direction.

I am pleased to share that I successfully participated in the Training of Trainers (TTT) on Gender Responsive Budgeting, held on 11th December at the Rivers State Ministry of Justice.

The training was both insightful and impactful, deepening my understanding of how budgeting can be used as a powerful tool to promote equity, inclusion, and social justice. Through active engagement, practical discussions, and shared experiences, the programme strengthened my capacity to support and institutionalize gender-responsive planning and budgeting within institutions and communities.

I am grateful to be part of a growing network of trainers committed to driving meaningful change and ensuring that public resources respond fairly to the needs of women, men, girls, and boys.

Thank you to the organizers and facilitators for this valuable opportunity. I look forward to applying these learnings to create sustainable and inclusive outcomes.

I recently completed an intensive executive training programme delivered by the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards (CE-SPESS), Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), in collaboration with the World Bank and the Federal Government.

The programme covered key areas including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Social Standards and Social Impact Assessment, Land Acquisition, Displacement and Resettlement in line with World Bank/ESSF Standards, Gender Mainstreaming, and Labour and Working Conditions. Through hands-on case studies, group discussions, research integration, and proposal development clinics, the training was both demanding and deeply practical.

It was an intensive experience, challenging, engaging, and absolutely worth it. The structured reflections and daily wrap-ups strengthened my understanding and sharpened my professional judgment in environmental and social safeguards.

I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and grow. This experience has further strengthened my expertise and readiness to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development initiatives.

Internship exposes you to the practical side of work, teaching you discipline, teamwork, and how the real world operates beyond theory. Mentorship gives you access to wisdom, someone who has walked the path ahead of you, made the mistakes, and can guide you away from avoidable failures. Together, they shorten your learning curve, save you time, and open doors that talent alone may not open. When you submit yourself to learning, growth becomes faster and stronger. Life rewards those who are humble enough to learn and bold enough to apply what they learn. Don’t rush success, build capacity, gain guidance, and grow deliberately.
