HAPPY SUNDAY, FAMILY

We have arrived at the second Sunday of June. As we sit in His presence today, I want to speak to the heart that feels a little restless—the heart that looks at its current life and thinks, "I should be further ahead by now."
If you have been feeling the pressure of "not being there yet," this word is for you.

SERMON: THE HOLY GROUND OF "THE NOW"

We often fall into the trap of thinking that God only exists in our "future success." We act as if our current position is just a waiting room, a place of no value until we hit our next milestone. But God is a God of the present.

1. YOUR CURRENT POSITION IS A TESTIMONY

There is a saying that bears repeating: "Someone else is praying to be exactly where you are right now."
The Lesson: You may be stressed about your rent, but someone else is praying for a roof. You may be frustrated with your job, but someone else is praying for an income. You may be tired of your single season, but someone else is praying for a companion. When you stop to appreciate your "now," you shift from a spirit of lack to a spirit of gratitude. Gratitude is the soil where miracles grow.

2. DON'T DESPISE THE DAY OF SMALL BEGINNINGS

Zechariah 4:10 warns us not to despise the day of small beginnings.
The Lesson: The seed of a giant oak tree is tiny, but it is still a tree. Your current life is not a waste; it is the preparation for your elevation. If you cannot be faithful and thankful in the "small" place, you will not be ready for the "large" place. God is not just building your future; He is building you.

3. CONTENTMENT IS NOT COMPLACENCY

There is a big difference between being "stuck" and being "still."
The Lesson: Being content doesn't mean you don't have dreams. It means you have peace while you work toward them. You can be hungry for more while still being full of thanksgiving for what you currently have. Peace is the fuel that will get you to your destination; anxiety will only burn you out before you arrive.

4. THE VALUE OF THE JOURNEY

God is not just interested in your destination; He is interested in the man or woman you are becoming along the way.
The Lesson: If God gave you everything you wanted today, you might not have the character to sustain it. Trust the timing of your life. The "middle" of the journey is where your muscles are built, your faith is tested, and your character is solidified.

PRAYER OF GRATITUDE AND PEACE

Heavenly Father, we come to You today with humble hearts. Forgive us for the times we have looked at our lives with eyes of discontent. Forgive us for complaining about the very things that others are praying to have.
Lord, we choose to appreciate our "now." We thank You for the clothes on our backs, the breath in our lungs, the jobs we have, the health we possess, and the progress—however small—that we have made. We acknowledge that You are the Author of our story, and Your timing is perfect. We refuse to be anxious about the future; instead, we rest in Your goodness. Grant us the grace to bloom where we are planted today, knowing that You are leading us to greater heights in due season. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

REMEMBER:

You are a work in progress, and the Master is at the wheel. Enjoy the journey!
Keep your spirit lifted—let the worship fill your home with peace and gratitude today!
Can you take a moment to name one thing you are grateful for right where you are?
