At FC Middlewell, our performance did not only earned us a standing ovation, but a beautiful reward from the Chairman of the Club.

THE SCORELINE DOESN'T TELL THE WHOLE STORY. ⚽👏

FC Middlewell 3–1 Alvasto Soccer Academy

It was a tough and competitive encounter.

Our boys dominated the first half, pressing with intensity, countering effectively and taking the lead into halftime.

The second half became increasingly difficult, with several contentious officiating decisions and physical challenges involving our young players. We eventually conceded three goals.

But there was something special after the final whistle: our performance earned us a standing ovation from the home fans. 👏👏

That speaks volumes about the football, courage and character our boys displayed.

Youth football is about development. Poor or inconsistent officiating can affect young players' confidence, decision-making and enjoyment of the game. Young footballers need an environment where they can compete fiercely while also being properly protected and fairly officiated.

We may have lost the game, but we gained valuable experience.

We learn. We improve. We come back stronger. 💪

TALENT PATHWAY

What happens after we identify talent?
Finding a talented player is only 20% of the job.

The real work begins after identification.
A player needs:
🔎 Assessment
📋 Development plan
⚽ Training
🏆 Competition
📈 Monitoring
🧠 Mentorship
🌍 Exposure
🤝 The right opportunities

Talent identification without development is incomplete.

Development without a pathway is also incomplete.

Identification and Development and Exposure and Opportunity.

That's the pathway we want to build.

Clubs and football organizations: Let's discuss better youth development pathways.

FOOTBALL ANALYSIS

Forget the goals for a moment. Watch what happens before the goal.

One of the best ways young players can improve their football IQ is by learning to analyse matches.

Don't only watch:

⚽ Goals
🔥 Skills
🏃 Speed

Watch:

👀 Scanning
📐 Positioning
🧠 Decision-making
↔️ Movement
⏱️ Timing
🔄 Transitions

At Alvasto Soccer Academy, we teach players to watch football like players—not spectators.
