📖 Advise for Women in the Last Ten Nights of Ramadan 🕌
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
First, we must understand that the best acts of worship in the last ten nights are:
Night prayer, Recitation of the Quran, and I'tikaf.
The Prophet ﷺ, as the leader of the entire Ummah, would leave everything for the sake of worship and devotion in these nights, which bring back life to the believer's soul.
🔖 Therefore, we say:
If a woman is not menstruating, she should adhere to her place of prayer and cling to the Book of her Lord during these numbered days.
Verily forgiveness is found at the doorstep of the night prayer, as mentioned in the hadith:
“Whoever stands (in prayer) during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.”
📌 As for the menstruating woman, our advice for her is:
Even if she is unable to stand in prayer at night, she should not abandon reciting the Quran, making d’ua, and frequently remembering Allah.
She should not consume herself and her nights on anything else, as the hadith states:
“Indeed, your soul has a right over you.”
And the most important right your soul has is that you nourish it with the water of life the Book of Allah which revives it and restores its strength, and fortifies its steadfastness.
Seek the help of Allah and do not give up.
Perhaps the blessings and forgiveness of The Lord [Rabb] may be granted to you through an arrow of a single supplication from a righteous, pure and sincere heart.
