ITELE AWORI COMMUNITY – A PEOPLE MOVING, NOT JUST TALKING
Today, grading has commenced on the Lafenwa–MOPOL axis with the use of a dozer and grader. This is not a government project. It is a community-driven, self-help palliative effort borne out of years of neglect and daily hardship.
We sincerely appreciate every son and daughter of Itele who has contributed so far. Your sacrifices have made this stage possible, and history will remember you kindly. May God replenish you beyond measure.
That said, it is not yet uhuru. This is only a temporary relief, not a permanent solution. The burden is heavy, and community effort alone cannot take us far.
This is yet another respectful reminder to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, that Itele Awori Community still waits — patiently, peacefully, and prayerfully — for meaningful government intervention on this road. We have not given up hope, and we will not stop calling.
To our people at home and in the diaspora: the work continues, and support is still needed. Every contribution matters as we push to sustain this effort while trusting God for a lasting solution.
Itele is speaking — not with insults, but with action.

This is another dqy of our self-help palliative work on Itele Road.

What you are seeing in this video is not a government project.
It is the effort of a tired community trying to survive.

Your Excellency, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun,
we respectfully bring this to your attention once again.
We have reached a point where our resources are almost exhausted.
This palliative work is funded solely by the people — and we cannot carry it much further.

We embarked on this not because we wanted to, but because the suffering became too much.
Still, we know this can only be temporary.
Only your government can give Itele the permanent solution this road needs.

Sir, even in our pain, we remain patient.
Even in our struggle, we still trust in God and in your leadership.
We are waiting — quietly, respectfully, and hopefully — for your government’s intervention on Itele Road.

To all sons and daughters of Itele Awori in the diaspora,
your community needs you now more than ever.
This palliative work still requires urgent financial support to be completed.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us go a little further.

We are not protesting with anger.
We are appealing with humility.
We are working with faith.

Please, let Itele not be forgotten.

DAY 10 – Message of Hope, Courage, and Collective Action.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, we know and believe with faith that you will harken to our SAVE OUR SOUL call on ITELE ROAD SOONEST.

Dear Esteemed Residents and Partners in Progress not leaving behind our DIASPORA Brothers & Sisters of ITELE ORIGIN.

We are also appealing to kind spirited Nigerians too to please come to our aid on this project.

Each new day on the road project reminds us of one truth: great communities are not built by government alone, but by the brave hearts who refuse to watch their environment decay.
We have come too far to stop.
We have sacrificed too much to retreat.
We cannot – and will not – quit at this point.
To keep the equipment working, we require a minimum of ₦450,000 daily. This is the cost of keeping the excavator, surveyors, and supervision team on ground. Every delay increases cost… but every contribution pushes us forward.

Today, we call on:
🌟 Philanthropists
🏢 Business Owners
🏡 Wealthy Residents
…and everyone who believes in the future of Itele-Awori, to give generously, cheerfully, and sacrificially.
No seed is too small.
No support is insignificant.
Let your contribution today become part of the history we will celebrate tomorrow.

DAY 6 PALLIATIVE UPDATE – ITELE AWORI STILL NEEDS HELP

Today makes it Day 6 since we, the people of Itele Awori, started repairing our road with our own hands because the government has failed to hear our cry.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, please sir, this is another heartfelt appeal:
Come to our rescue.
We cannot continue suffering like this.

To all sons and daughters of Itele (home & abroad) — we still need urgent donations to keep this work going.
The cost is huge, and what we have cannot finish the job.
Please support your community now.

We also call on good-spirited Nigerians anywhere you may be — if our situation touches you, please help us. We have endured untold hardship on this road for years.

Itele will not give up.
Itele will not keep quiet.
Support is needed NOW.

‼️ A CLARION CALL TO ALL SONS & DAUGHTERS OF ITELE AWORI — HOME & ABROAD ‼️
Palliative Road Work Flag-Off: TODAY, Monday, 1st December 2025 | 9:30AM | Lafenwa Junction

My people, today is a historic day in the life of our community.

After YEARS of suffering, YEARS of neglect, and YEARS of crying out without response, we the people of Itele Awori Kingdom have decided to take our destiny into our own hands by commencing a community-funded palliative repair of our major access road.

But we CANNOT do this alone.

🚧 1. FLAG-OFF IS TODAY — 9:30AM SHARP

We are officially flagging off the palliative work this morning at 9:30AM at Lafenwa Junction.
Everyone is encouraged to come out.
This is the time for us to stand together —
Photos and videos taken today will go into our ongoing agitation and communication to the Ogun State Government.

💔 URGENT FINANCIAL APPEAL — WE NEED HELP NOW

Our estimated project cost is ₦25,000,000.

So far, through the goodwill of committed sons and daughters of Itele:

Amount raised so far: ₦2,500,000

Amount already spent: ₦1,940,000 (to bring the excavator to site for 3 days)

Cost per day for the excavator: ₦380,000

Mobilization + Demobilization: ₦800,000

If we do NOT make another upfront payment for another 3 days by 12 noon tomorrow,
the excavator will be taken away after Wednesday, and bringing it back will cost MORE than before.

We cannot allow this project to stop halfway.
We must raise more funds TODAY and TOMORROW.

💔 CALL TO ALL GOOD SAMARITANS

This is not just a road;
This is our lifeline —
Our businesses, our children, our elderly, our pregnant women, our daily survival all depend on this road.

Anyone with a heart — friend, neighbour, non-indigene, philanthropist —
please come to our aid.
We have suffered untold hardship on this road in every sense of the word.

Every contribution matters:

₦10M, ₦5M, ₦1M, 500k, 300k, 200k;

Even ₦50K multiplied by many hands can save this project.

Let your contribution be part of history.
Let your name be remembered when the story of Itele’s liberation is written.

ANOTHER PASSIONATE APPEAL TO GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN

Your Excellency,
We appeal once again from the deepest part of our hearts.

Since your government has not heard our cries all these years, we the people have now started palliative repairs with our bare hands and our limited resources.

But let it be known:
This does not mean we have given up on you.
It only means we are tired of waiting while our lives are wasting away.

We beg you,
Step in and rescue Itele Awori.
Your silence for 6 years feels like 6 years of insensitivity and abandonment.
But we still believe that leadership means listening, responding, and acting.

We will continue our peaceful agitation — respectfully but consistently —
until Itele gets the road it deserves.

🌧️🌈 NOW IS THE TIME. THIS IS OUR MOMENT.

Let every son and daughter of Itele hear this call.
Let every Good Samaritan feel our pain.
Let every kind heart respond.

Now is the time to stand for Itele.
Now is the time to support.
Now is the time for ALL OF US.

Our palliative efforts on the ITELE AWORI COMMUNITY Road.

Our group-Itele Awori Access Roads Advocates (Headed by my Very good friend and Philanthropist-Otunba Yomi Otubela), a non Partisan, non Political group decided to take it on as Stakeholders in the community because the Govt of Ogun State headed by Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun - MFR is yet to harken to our cry.

The suffering on that road has become completely unbearable so much that we just can't fold our arms again .

Though this palliative measure is but a drop in the ocean yet we must do it.

We seize this moment to call on Governor Dapo Abiodun again to pls come to our aid, ENOUGH OF THE SUFFERING PLS.

21/11/2025

Governor Dapo Abiodun, we are still on bended knees and very very weary now.

Rains have almost reversed, dry season is here .

Fix our roads now sir.

Dear Governor Dapo Abiodun,

As the dry season sets in, we see it as the perfect opportunity to address one of our most pressing community needs—the state of the roads in Itele. The dry months provide the ideal window to fix and prepare our roads before the next rainy season arrives, preventing further hardship for our residents.

We have been following your administration’s achievements online, especially the commendable road projects in Abeokuta, and we appreciate the efforts of your media team in showcasing them. It is our sincere wish to also celebrate such progress in Itele community. Our people long for safe, accessible roads, and we believe that with your intervention, we too can witness the transformation and sing praises of your leadership.

Governor, we appeal to your compassion and commitment to progress: please help us repair and upgrade the roads in Itele. This is more than just concrete and asphalt; it is about easing the daily struggles of our residents, opening doors for commerce, education, and health access, and leaving a lasting positive impact on our community.

We are hopeful that you will hear our plea and come to our aid. Your attention to Itele at this moment will not only bring immediate relief but also leave a legacy of care and development that your administration will be celebrated for across Ogun State.
