Today, the Association of Nigerians in the Capital District of New York (ANCD) pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed in the United States Armed Forces.
On this Memorial Day, we pay special tribute to the many Nigerians and Nigerian-Americans who answered the call to serve this great nation with courage, dedication, loyalty, and honor. Your commitment to protecting freedom, defending democracy, and preserving peace will never be forgotten.
We recognize the sacrifices made not only by those who served, but also by their families who stood beside them through every challenge, deployment, and uncertainty.
To those who gave their lives in service to America — we remember you with deep gratitude and respect. To our veterans and active-duty service members — we thank you for your strength, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment.
Your legacy of service continues to inspire generations within our Nigerian community and across the United States.

It is with great Joy and gratitude to God Almighty that I bring this good new to the team. Spring of Joy for Widows foundation has been a foundation created by God Almighty, directed, supervised and empowered by him too. I give God all the glory and praise be to his name. Amen.

Today we achieved another milestone. Spring of Joy for Widows foundation has finally secured an accommodation for another widow in the person of Mrs Adekemi and her 3 children. We were able to get a parlor and room self contain for her and her kids at IFO Ogun State, Nigeria. Her children will also continue their education at IFO, and she will resume her business at IFO Ogun State. We are grateful to God Almighty for helping achieve our April 2026 goal in May 2026.

All necessary disbursement letters, and award certificates would be sent to her very soon for her personal signature and photo capture.
We look forward to achieving greater milestones in the future.
