We organized and successfully conducted a one-day psychosocial support session for victims of the gruesome Angwan Rukuba attack here in Jos (My beautiful city).

The intervention was initiated by the Plateau State Association (PSA-USA), whose members, though far from home, continue to keep their hearts with us back here, and was implemented by us at Saphira Global Center for Social Development.

It was a deeply impactful session filled with open conversations, emotional expression, and meaningful steps toward healing. Our colleagues in the civil society sector demonstrated remarkable expertise in trauma healing, we are sincerely grateful for their valuable contributions and commitment to this intervention. Jerusha Chaimang and Gaius Dachet we salute you both!

I am deeply appreciative of the PSA-USA for the trust placed in my team and me to lead this initiative. The impact was evident, and we are encouraged by the positive outcomes. As an organization committed to humanitarian aid, it is essential that we also give attention to key areas like these for they are crucial in aiding the effectiveness of our work.

May we see a better Plateau State 🙏

Today, we reached out to widows and Internally Displaced Women within some communities, offering financial support to help sustain their petty businesses and meet essential daily needs.

In total, 22 women received cash assistance of ₦10,000 each. This included women from rural communities such as Bauchi Road, Jenta Tudu, and Tudun-Wada, as well as Internally Displaced Women who have been temporarily integrated into the D**g community.

This initiative aligns with our mission to empower vulnerable women, provide timely support, and contribute to poverty alleviation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our anonymous donor, whose generosity made this outreach possible. She provided the resources, and we were honored to deliver hope on her behalf.

We successfully concluded our end-of-year food drive for underprivileged widows and other vulnerable households yesterday, 23rd December 2025 and it was a truly heartwarming experience. Thanks to your kind hearted donations and the trust you placed in us to deliver, we were able to support 40 households across both Christian and a few Muslim families. Each household received a 5kg bag of rice, one pack of seasoning cubes, one pack of salt, and a small cash token to assist with transportation back home.

Our beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude for your continued support in helping to ease their daily struggles.

My team and I are deeply thankful to our donors you are truly the MVPs of this initiative. It remains our earnest prayer that we will continue to give back and touch more lives together.

In commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, our team had the privilege of engaging with girls in two communities: Dogon-Karfe and Tudun-Wada. We focused on supporting coming-of-age girls and spent some time with them to enlighten and have open conversations about personal hygiene and menstrual health.

Our discussions centred on empowering the girls to embrace their identities with confidence and pride, we had enlightening conversations about nurturing personal cleanliness and embracing their uniqueness as girls, menstrual health focusing proper hygiene, dignity and self-care for overall well-being.

Special hugs to Nurse Vivian Chidozie AKA "Nurse V" who bought in her expert skills to lace the activity with her admirable energy on the health talk and proper demonstrations.

Special thank you to Terry Eze, National Sales Manager, Hayat Nigeria for being a constant force in supporting our activities with free sanitary pads and other toiletries 🙏

100 girls benfitted from this outreach while as we distributed complimentary sanitary pads to each girl, with 50 packs shared in Dogon-Karfe and another 50 in Tudun-Wada.

In pursuit of our mission to transform the social welfare of marginalized groups, we recently extended financial support to 10 widows struggling to make ends meet. Each widow received a token of 30,000 Naira, aimed at providing temporary relief and alleviating some of their financial burdens.

This initiative is a testament to our organization's commitment to creating positive change in the lives of vulnerable populations. Our work is driven by a passion to serve, rather than a reliance on external funding.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our anonymous donor, who generously contributed to this initiative. Her selfless act of kindness has made a tangible difference in the lives of these 10 widows, and we are deeply thankful for her trust in our organization and its mission.
