We organized and successfully conducted a one-day psychosocial support session for victims of the gruesome Angwan Rukuba attack here in Jos (My beautiful city).
The intervention was initiated by the Plateau State Association (PSA-USA), whose members, though far from home, continue to keep their hearts with us back here, and was implemented by us at Saphira Global Center for Social Development.
It was a deeply impactful session filled with open conversations, emotional expression, and meaningful steps toward healing. Our colleagues in the civil society sector demonstrated remarkable expertise in trauma healing, we are sincerely grateful for their valuable contributions and commitment to this intervention. Jerusha Chaimang and Gaius Dachet we salute you both!
I am deeply appreciative of the PSA-USA for the trust placed in my team and me to lead this initiative. The impact was evident, and we are encouraged by the positive outcomes. As an organization committed to humanitarian aid, it is essential that we also give attention to key areas like these for they are crucial in aiding the effectiveness of our work.
May we see a better Plateau State 🙏
