SPECIAL LETTER OF APPRECIATION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE KANO STATE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH CORPS
INTRODUCTION
Rano First Development Association (RAFIDA), a non-governmental and community-based development organization established to promote social development, peace, unity, and security, hereby conveys its highest appreciation, commendation, and profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kano State for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to public safety through the establishment of the Kano State Neighbourhood Watch Corps.
Since its establishment in 2025, RAFIDA has remained steadfast in supporting initiatives that enhance community safety, protect human rights, and foster peaceful coexistence. The creation of the Neighbourhood Watch Corps is therefore a timely and strategic intervention that aligns perfectly with the aspirations of the people of Kano State and the objectives of our Association.
COMMENDATION OF VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
The establishment of the Neighbourhood Watch Corps stands as a clear demonstration of visionary and people-centered leadership. It reflects the Governor’s deep understanding of the importance of community-based security architecture, which empowers citizens to actively participate in safeguarding their neighbourhoods while complementing the efforts of conventional security agencies.
RAFIDA highly commends this initiative for its multifaceted impact, including:
