Pass the Torch, Raise the Flag: 7th Oyigbo Company Ushers in a New Era of Leadership

The Boys’ Brigade, Nigeria, Oyigbo Group Council, recently marked a milestone moment as the 7th Oyigbo Company attached to the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Oyigbo hosted its historic Enrolment and Installation Service reaffirming its commitment to raising disciplined, Christ-centered boys.

A central highlight of the day was the official leadership transition. Mr. Goodwill Udochukwu Ukarieaku was installed as the new Company Captain, stepping into the shoes of Mrs. Roseline Orji, who served for more than 15 years, dedicated and meritorious service.

Alongside Captain Ukarieaku’s installation, the service celebrated:
The Declaration of the Company Chaplain.
The Induction of new Patrons.
The Formal Enrolment of young boys into the company rank and file.

The milestone event attracted high-profile figures from across the Brigade, including:
Amb. Eze Nwankpa, ANTO (State Assistant Secretary/Organizer, General Duties), Barr. Chinenye Nwulu (National General Secretary, Anglican Communion Brigade), Mr. Peter C. Okoro (Chairman, Oyigbo Group Council), Patrons, officers, parents, and community leaders from across the Council.

Filled with vibrant worship and prayers, the service echoed the core pillars of The Boys’ Brigade: advancing Christ’s Kingdom among boys while cultivating Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect, and true Christian manliness.

Building on 15 years of strong foundational leadership, the 7th Oyigbo Company now steps confidently into its next chapter ready to inspire, mentor, and shape the next generation of leaders.
