Core Objective of Climate Action Week
Climate change is not only an environmental crisis, it deepens inequality, heightens gender-based violence, and threatens livelihoods. The core call is clear: centre women and young people as leaders of change, not merely as victims. We must invest in inclusive solutions that deliver resilient food systems, just transitions, community-led adaptation, and policies that protect the most marginalised while building a fairer, sustainable future.

Dr. Nancy Seember Terhemba
Food scientist, academician, climate advocate, and Co-founder/Executive Director of Euphrates Climate Foundation. With a PhD in Food Science and Technology, she bridges research, policy, and community action to strengthen climate-resilient food systems, nutrition security, and gender-inclusive sustainability, particularly through the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Project.
Discussion focus: National Climate Policy Pathways for Mitigation, Adaptation and Resilience; Centering Women and Youth
Drawing on science and practice, Dr. Terhemba will explore how Nigeria’s climate policies can better support women and youth through inclusive strategies that advance food security, sustainable livelihoods, and long-term resilience.
Diolu Tobechukwu Prosper
Environmental justice and gender inclusion advocate, Executive Director of Lincgreen Initiative, and Content Development Lead for the Special Seats for Women Bill advocacy. Recognised by Forbes as one of the leading African Environmentalists to watch in 2026, he champions youth-led, eco-feminist approaches and amplifies the voices of women and marginalised communities in environmental decision-making across Nigeria, with deep roots in the Niger Delta.

Mr. Diolu will share grassroots insights on how women and youth are leading adaptation, demanding accountability, and transforming climate challenges into opportunities for justice and inclusive development in one of Nigeria’s most climate-impacted regions.

Dynamic corporate executive, ESG strategist, sustainability and climate action advocate. Founder and Executive Director of GreenHer Future Sustainability Network, a platform advancing climate action, environmental education, biodiversity resilience, women leadership, and social impact.
