IDRC is leading three other organizations in a Consortium to implement the Creation of Alternatives to Irregular Migration and Human Trafficking (CAIMAT) Project in Edo state, with funding from the European union through the British Council. This is a worthy intervention in youth development and in the Strengthening of institutions involved in the migration response in Edo state, Nigeria.

GALVANIZE ACTION FOR EFFECTIVE TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS RESPONSE

Uromi JDPCI in collaboration with Josemaria Escreva Foundation(JOSEF), JDPC(Justice Development and Peace Commission), Auchi, W***y Johnson Foundation(WJF),Ideal Development and Resource Centre (IDRC) and Girls Power Initiative(GPI),carried out advocacy visit to the Commissioner for Local Government, Monday Osaigbovo at his office.

The visit was to brief the honourable commissioner on Uromi JDPCI's
planned collaboration to suppress human trafficking in Edo State and the possible role he can play in it.

8th March every year is International Women's Day!

On this day we at IDRC celebrate every woman. We acknowledge indispensable roles of women in the development of our homes, families, communities and tbe world at large. Without the woman nothing else is sustainable!

This theme of this year's International Women's Day celebration is "Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow" is very apt, and we at IDRC join every well-meaning person, group and organization to "BREAK THE BIAS" towards women.

We also specially remember and stand the Women Living with Disabilities, Women Living with HIV and all Indigent Women.
