On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Niger Delta comes together to celebrate its people, its excellence, its stories and its progress.
This year’s theme:
“Rethinking Development in the Niger Delta: A New Approach to Overcome Challenges and Achieve Lasting Success.”
NDAH has never been just an awards night. It is a celebration of a region shaped by resilience, ambition and extraordinary people.
In 2014, what began as the Garden City Advancement Awards (GACAA) started with one simple idea: celebrate excellence.
But as we looked beyond one city, we discovered something greater.
Across the nine states of the Niger Delta, people were building, leading, innovating and transforming their communities.
The journey evolved.
GACAA became NDAH.
And today, after ten years of celebrating remarkable people and remarkable stories, we arrive at a defining milestone:
The 10th Edition of NDAH.
Ten years of reminding Nigeria and the world that the Niger Delta is exceptional.
This year, recognition meets reflection.
Our distinguished keynote speaker, Professor Alafuro Epelle, Professor of Public Administration at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, will lead a vital conversation on the future of our region.
Because celebrating progress is important.
But building what comes next is even more important.
What kind of Niger Delta are we building?
How do we transform potential into prosperity?
How do we create development that lasts?
The conversation begins October 24.
