She smiled in every picture.

She laughed with her friends. She posted beautiful photos online. Everyone called her "the happy girl."

But every night, when the lights went off, the tears came.
She had spent years pretending she was okay.

The pain of being ignored by her parents had left a wound she couldn't explain. She longed for someone to ask, "Are you really okay?" But no one did.

To silence the emptiness, she found comfort in things that slowly became chains late-night addictions, unhealthy relationships, and secret habits she couldn't break. She prayed, cried, promised herself she would stop, but every time she fell again.

Outwardly, she wore a smile.

Inwardly, she was fighting a war no one could see.

Maybe... this isn't just her story.

Maybe this is your story.

Maybe you're a young adult desperately hoping someone will truly see you, hear you, understand you, and help you heal.

Maybe you're carrying wounds from rejection, abuse, heartbreak, loneliness, po*******hy, ma********on, substance addiction, anxiety, depression, or the pressure of pretending that everything is fine.
You don't have to fight alone anymore.

Healing begins when we stop hiding.

If you've been asking, "How do I heal?" "How do I come out of this addiction?" "Will anyone ever understand my pain?"

Then Healing Feast โ€“ Behind the Smile (The Secret Battles of the Heart) is for you.

HEALING FEAST 2026 โ€” BEHIND THE SMILE

Sometimes, the biggest battles are the ones nobody sees.
Behind the smile may be pain. Behind the laughter may be tears.
Behind โ€œIโ€™m fineโ€ may be a heart desperately needing healing.

This August, Young Adults Community (YAC) presents HEALING FEAST โ€” Behind the Smile: The Secret Battles of the Heart.
For 3 powerful nights, weโ€™ll have honest conversations about the things we hide, the wounds we carry, and the journey toward healing, restoration, and wholeness.

To the believer who is tired...

Yes, we go to church, yet our hearts are overwhelmed by life's challenges.

Yes, we are Christians, yet doubt is slowly overtaking our faith.

Yes, we go to church, yet we still ask, "God, why are You allowing this to happen to me?"

Yes, we are Christians, yet some of us have become weary of waiting on God.

We silently ask:

Will God ever show up?
Will God help me?

Some have stopped going to church because they feel God is partial. Others have stopped praying because heaven seems silent. Many still smile in public while privately wondering if God has forgotten them.

These are real struggles that many believers encounter in their journey of faith.

But here is the truth:

God remains God, no matter what you are going through or the season you find yourself in. His character is not determined by whether your prayers have been answered yet. God is still faithful. God is still good. God is still real, no matter what the world says.

I'm sorry if someone misrepresented Jesus or the Gospel of Christ to you. If it is truly the Gospel of Christ that you have believed, then you must also be willing to carry your cross.

Even Jesus your Savior and my Lord experienced rejection. He was misunderstood, betrayed, mocked, and rejected by religious people. In fact, they crucified Him.

Perhaps someone told you that once you come to Jesus, every problem disappears. Yes, Jesus is the Great Problem Solver. But following Him does not exempt us from trials. In many cases, choosing Christ will bring persecution, misunderstanding, and seasons of pain.

If you have given up on God... if you have stopped believing... if you have stopped attending church because you are exhausted, disappointed, or heartbroken, this message is for you.

I know it is difficult. I know the silence hurts.

But here is the good news:

God has not given up on you.

Even when you are tired, He still says, "Cast all your burdens on Me, and I will give you rest."

Sometimes, when pain is accompanied by purpose, it is no longer punishment it is preparation.

God still loves you.

God still hears you.

God still sees you.

Return to Him. Don't hide your feelings from Him. Tell Him exactly how you feel. He is not intimidated by your questions, your tears, or your weakness. His arms are still open.

I pray this message reaches you at the right time. May your weary heart find peace, your downcast soul be lifted, and may the help of God locate you.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

From your Christian brother,
Honest Bekwelle Chikesiru

18 Is Not Freedom Without Responsibility

Being 18 is not a license for pleasure without purpose.

Being 18 is not proof of maturity to do whatever you desire.

Being 18 is not a legal excuse to enter relationships you are not emotionally, mentally, or spiritually ready for.

Being 18 is an awakening to responsibility.

Yes, values have changed.

Yes, culture has evolved.

Yes, social media now shapes many teenagers more than their homes do.

Many young people now build their lives on what society presents rather than on what is right.

So the questions remain:

How can a teenager be responsible when the family is broken?

How can a teenager be responsible when they feel unsafe in their own home and cannot share their deepest struggles with their parents?

How can a teenager be responsible when toxic relationships and premarital s*x are celebrated as signs of maturity?

How can a teenager be responsible when cultural trends are louder than timeless truth?

These are real questions.

But here is what your conscience must answer.

Yes, values have changed.

Yes, culture has shifted.

Yes, many parents have failed in their responsibility.

But now ask yourself:

Who or what is this pain shaping you to become?

Beyond pointing out the failures of culture, parenting, and society, what are you doing to make sure you don't repeat the same mistakes?

What are you doing to ensure you don't pass the same brokenness to your own generation or make it even worse?

Listen carefully.

Your parents are not 100% responsible for who you become.

They may have influenced your beginning, but they do not have to determine your ending.

The baton has now been handed to you.

The choice is yours.

Will you take responsibility, or will you continue in the same cycle of brokenness?

That is why I said from the beginning:

Turning 18 is not just about pleasure. It is about rebuilding broken walls.

It is time for healing.

It is time for learning.

It is time for unlearning unhealthy patterns.

It is time for relearning the truth instead of living by the facts your environment has taught you.

While you are still young, ask yourself:

Have you found God?

Have you discovered your purpose?

How many books have you read on parenting, purpose, leadership, relationships, and marriage?

Don't spend your youth chasing fantasies and temporary pleasures just to fit in with friends who are also carrying unhealed wounds.

Broken people often transfer brokenness to others.

Don't let that become your story.

Wake up, young people.

The future is too precious to waste.

The next generation deserves a healed version of you not another wounded one.

makes you different is doing what are not doing โœ๐Ÿผ BE THE INFLUNCE !!

YOUR FELLOWSHIP IS THE TARGET

You complained that you didn't have time to pray, yet you've become even busier with things that add no value.

You've been feeling guilty and isolated because of your weakness and addiction, yet instead of getting better, it has only grown worse.

Can't you see? This is a means to an end. The battle around your life isn't really about youโ€”it's about the destiny you carry.

How long will you stay away from the altar?

How long will you allow the devil to win this battle?

God knew your weaknesses, yet He still anointed you.

He does not entrust precious pearls to those without purpose.

If God anointed you, it is because He trusts you.

Your addiction does not have the power to silence the voice God placed inside you.

Who lied to you?

Why do you want to give up now?

If God ever called and anointed you, it is because He knows you have what it takes to shift your generation.

You've been running on your own strength.

Now, run to the mercy of God.

Heaven helps those who know they cannot help themselves.

Esther, Jesus is counting on you.

Joseph, Jesus is counting on you.

Peculiar, Jesus is counting on you.

Rise above your addiction.

I know you've tried before, but don't stop trying.

Come boldly before the throne of grace.

Surrender everything to Him.

Many people may never see the light because you refuse to rise.

Many families may remain stranded because you choose to stay on the ground.

The words spoken over your life were never mere motivational speeches.

They are prophecies.

Oh, warrior of God, rise and defend your people!

Samson, your hair is growing again.

Your strength is returning.

Brokenness and spiritual hunger are currencies that attract the attention of God.

Go back to Him.

He sees your heart.

Ask Him to look upon you with mercy.

You are the one He has sent.

God helps people through people.

Don't delay someone else's answer because of the gift God has already placed within you.

Rise.

Answer the call.

Heaven is waiting.

Your generation is waiting.

God is counting on you.

HOW TO OVERCOME SEXUAL URGES AS A TEENAGER

Yes, I know this will be helpful to many teenagers and young adults because this stage of life comes with so many things that can trigger s*xual feelings.

Many young people today are struggling with s*xual temptation, and they need help, not condemnation. As humans, these feelings are normal.

The problem is not having s*xual urges; the problem is when you cannot control them.

Ask yourself:

Do you have s*xual feelings? Yes.
Must you have s*x? No.
Does having s*x stop s*xual feelings? No.

One of the best ways to overcome s*xual urges is to identify what triggers them. When you know your triggers, you can set healthy boundaries.

Be mindful of how you relate with the opposite s*x, the kind of videos you watch, the music you listen to, the places you visit, the friends you keep, and the conversations you engage in.

If you know that hugging, holding hands, or certain forms of closeness trigger your s*xual desires, avoid them. It is not pride; you are simply protecting yourself.

Have a mentor or someone you trust that you can open up to and receive godly guidance.

Prayer alone will not stop s*xual urges. You must also discipline yourself, study God's Word, fast, renew your mind, and set boundaries.

Sexual purity is possible if you decide to walk away from anything keeping you bound.

Don't be in a hurry to enjoy a few minutes of pleasure with fear and regret when you can enjoy God's gift of s*x the right way at the right time.

And to our African parents, please don't leave your children to learn about s*x from social media or their friends. Teach them early, guide them with love, and make your home a safe place for honest conversations.

A lot is happening in this generation. Pray for your children, advise them, and walk with them.

Welcome to Young Adult Community. ๐Ÿค

Thank you for being here.

In a world where many young people are struggling silently, we believe no one should have to face life's questions alone.

The Young Adult Community is a space created for teenagers, young adults, and parentsโ€”a place where real conversations happen, difficult questions are welcomed, and practical, life-changing answers are shared.

We talk about the issues that matter most: identity, purpose, relationships, mental and emotional well-being, peer pressure, faith, family, parenting, career, and the everyday challenges young people face in today's world.

If you're a teenager trying to make sense of your life, a young adult searching for direction, or a parent who simply wants to better understand and support your child, you've found a community that cares.

More than anything, this is a safe space.

Here, you can ask questions without fear.
Share your struggles without shame.
Be heard without being judged.

We're here to listen, to encourage, and to grow together.

Our desire is to raise a generation of emotionally healthy, purpose-driven, and responsible young people while equipping parents with the insight they need to build stronger relationships with their children.

This is more than a pageโ€”it's a community.

Welcome home.

We're glad you're here. ๐Ÿค

WE'RE BACK โ€” WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!

Last year, we lost the A Teenager and More Facebook account that many of you followed and supported. It was a difficult moment because that page had become a place of hope, healing, learning, and growth for so many people.

But we're grateful to God because this is not the end of the journey.

Today, we're excited to introduce our new official Facebook community: Young Adults Community!

While the name has changed, the vision remains the sameโ€”to inspire, equip, and support teenagers and young adults to live purpose-driven, healthy, and God-centered lives.

If you were part of the A Teenager and More family, we're inviting you to reconnect with us by following the Young Adults Community page.

Your follow, like, comment, and share will help us rebuild this amazing community and reach even more lives.

Together, let's continue the mission of raising a generation that lives with purpose, wisdom, and hope.

Follow the Young Adults Community today, and invite your friends and family to join us.

Thank you for standing with us. The journey continues, and the best is yet to come! โค๏ธ
