✨ I’ve been thinking a lot about young ladies who are silently hurting... 💭

Some girls are going through so much that they can’t even find the words to speak. 😔
They smile, laugh, and act strong but deep down, they’re dying in silence. 💔

Some have been molested, and the pain still lives inside them.
They were told, “Don’t tell anyone.”
And now they’re carrying pain, shame, and fear all alone.
Not because they don’t have anyone to talk to,
but because they’re scared, scared they won’t be believed,
scared they’ll be judged, or blamed for what happened. 💔

Please, dear sister, speak up. 🕊️
You don’t have to go through it alone.
There’s healing when you open up.
There’s peace when you share your pain with someone who truly listens. 💬

If you need someone to talk to, message this number 👉 08038543454.
Trust me, it’s completely confidential. 🤍

You are not alone.
You are loved.
And you are stronger than you think. 💪💛

I travelled recently, and something happened on the bus that stayed with me 🤍
The bus was almost full. A woman came in with her four children. Maybe they were travelling for the festive season. Everyone was in a hurry to reach our destination on time. We were only waiting for two more passengers.
After a few minutes, the bus finally got full and we were ready to leave.
Suddenly, gbam.
One of the children, the only girl, said she wanted to use the toilet 🚽
Instead of helping her, the mother slapped her immediately 😔
The little girl started crying loudly, and the mother kept shouting at her, saying she had warned them to use the restroom at home before coming out.
People in the bus were upset. Many spoke up and told the woman that such things are unpredictable. A child cannot always control these moments.
Then one woman said something very deep. Something that silenced the bus 🛑
She said:
“If you treat a child like this, she may grow up afraid to talk to you. One day, when something serious happens in her life, something dangerous, painful, or confusing, she may not come to you. She will be scared. She may choose to talk to her friends instead, and that could lead her astray.”
That statement hit my heart 💔
Sometimes, it is not strangers that silence children. It is parents.
Not because they do not love them, but because of how they react.
Dear parents, dear mothers, dear caregivers 👩🏽‍🦱
Correction is important, yes.
But how we correct matters even more.
A child who is afraid of you may never tell you
when they are being molested
when they are being threatened
when they are confused
when they are in danger
Let us raise children who feel safe to speak 🕊️
Let us discipline with wisdom, not anger
Let us listen more and shout less
Because one slap today can silence a voice tomorrow.

💭 What do you think? How can parents correct children without breaking their trust?
