Not every child who behaves differently is being difficult.

Sometimes, they are simply experiencing the world in a different way.

This Autism Awareness Month, let’s move beyond assumptions and choose understanding, patience, and acceptance. 💙

We successfully hosted an Inaugural Conference in collaboration with the International Dementia Academy Africa (IDAA) — a powerful step toward strengthening dementia awareness, education, and capacity building in Nigeria and across Africa.

With the theme “Introducing Foundational Dementia Knowledge and Interactive Learning,” the conference brought together experts, clinicians, and professionals committed to advancing brain health and dementia care.

Participants engaged in insightful discussions, interactive learning sessions, and knowledge exchange led by distinguished speakers from across the globe. The event highlighted the importance of building foundational dementia knowledge, promoting early recognition, and strengthening collaborative efforts in research, care, and advocacy.

We are grateful to our incredible faculties and delegates who made this milestone event impactful.

Together, we continue to move the conversation on brain health and dementia care forward.

Many people feel perfectly fine while living with high blood pressure.

Unfortunately, the brain may not be.

Sustained hypertension quietly affects the vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the brain — raising the risk of stroke and other neurological complications.

This is why awareness, early detection, and routine monitoring matter.

At Brain Health Initiative Nigeria, our work bridges research and community engagement to encourage proactive brain and vascular health.

Prevention starts long before symptoms appear.
