Rotary International has been a key player in the global fight against polio, and their efforts have led to a 99.9% reduction in polio cases since 1988. As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), Rotary has contributed over $1.8 billion to polio eradication efforts and helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries.

Rotary Club of Ogwa has played a crucial role in the advocacy and immunization of children by engaging community leaders, parents and volunteers to promote the importance of immunization and address vaccine hesitancy.

Rotary's dedication to polio eradication has made significant strides, and their ongoing efforts will help protect children worldwide from this devastating disease.

12 December 2025 marked yet another special day in the history of Rotary Club of Ogwa. The president Rtn Pet Anoruo, members of the Board of Directors and the entire members of RC Ogwa in the company of the connoisseur District Governor of Rotary District 9142, Rtn Kelechi Alozie visited the Mbaitoli Local government Council Chairman Hon Ifunnanya Nwanegwo in his Office @ Nwaorieubi.

The commissioning of the testament of the Rotary Club of Ogwa's commitment to spreading Rotary's values and principles through the Four-Way Test edifice was the highlight of the visit.
The presence of the council chairman, his team, and the district governor added great significance to the occasion.

Kudos to the Rotary Club of Ogwa for this wonderful initiative! 👏

The Rotary Four-Way Test of the things we think say or do was created by Herbert J. Taylor, a Rotarian from Chicago, Illinois, USA. In 1932, Taylor, who was serving as the president of the Rotary Club of Chicago, developed the test as a guiding principle for his advertising agency, Club Aluminum Products, during a challenging time in the company's history.

He crafted the Four-Way Test as a moral framework to guide his decision-making and ensure that the company's actions were fair, truthful, and beneficial to all stakeholders.

Ten years later, In 1942, the test was adopted as an official policy statement by Rotary International, and it has since become a cornerstone of Rotary's values and guiding principles.

As a foundational element of Rotary International, its significance cannot be overstated.

*A Guiding Principle*
The Four-Way Test serves as a moral compass, guiding Rotarians in their personal and professional lives. It encourages them to reflect on their actions, decisions, and relationships, promoting a culture of integrity, fairness, and respect.

*Building Trust and Credibility*
By adhering to the Four-Way Test, Rotarians demonstrate their commitment to ethical behavior, transparency, and accountability. This fosters trust and credibility within the organization, among members, and in the communities they serve.

*Effective Decision-Making*
The Four-Way Test provides a simple yet powerful framework for decision-making. By applying these four questions, Rotarians can evaluate opportunities, resolve conflicts, and make choices that align with Rotary's values and mission.

*Fostering Positive Relationships*
The Four-Way Test promotes goodwill, better friendships, and mutual understanding. By prioritizing fairness, truth, and the well-being of all concerned, Rotarians build strong, supportive relationships within their clubs, communities, and globally.

*Driving Service and Impact*
The Four-Way Test inspires Rotarians to focus on projects and initiatives that benefit others, promoting a culture of service and giving back. This mindset drives positive change, empowers communities, and advances Rotary's mission to "Service Above Self."

*A Unifying Force*
The Four-Way Test is a shared language and set of values that unites Rotarians worldwide. It transcends cultural, linguistic, and geographical boundaries, reminding members of their shared commitment to making a difference.

*Personal Growth and Development*
Embracing the Four-Way Test encourages personal reflection, self-awareness, and growth. As Rotarians strive to embody these principles, they develop valuable skills, build character, and become more effective leaders.

By embracing the Four-Way Test, and strategically erecting a well crafted signage of the FOUR WAY TEST @ Mbaitol Local Government Council Nwaorieubi, Rotary Club of Ogwa has created a ripple effect of positivity by...
1. Providing a guiding principle for ethical behavior
2. Fostering trust and credibility
3. Informing decision-making
4. Nurturing positive relationships
5. Driving service and impact
6. Uniting members globally ,
7. Promoting personal growth and development.

And above all inspiring others to join the movement and work together to make a meaningful difference in the world.
