EZICHI CHISOM FOUNDATION CALLS FOR THE SAFE RELEASE OF KIDNAPPED SCHOOL CHILDREN AND TEACHERS IN OYO STATE

The Ezichi Chisom Foundation expresses its deep concern and sadness over the unfortunate kidnapping of school children and their teachers in Oyo State. We strongly condemn this distressing act, which has caused fear, anxiety, and emotional hardship for the victims, their families, and the wider community.

As an organization committed to the welfare, protection, and development of children, we believe that every child deserves to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment. Acts that threaten the safety and well-being of children and educators are deeply troubling and should never have a place in our society.

We respectfully appeal to the relevant government authorities and security agencies to continue and intensify efforts towards securing the safe and immediate release of the abducted children and teachers. We recognize the challenges involved and encourage all stakeholders to rise to the occasion in ensuring that these innocent victims are reunited with their families as soon as possible.

The Ezichi Chisom Foundation stands in solidarity with the affected families during this difficult period. We extend our heartfelt support, prayers, and sympathies to the parents, guardians, relatives, and loved ones who are enduring the pain and uncertainty surrounding this unfortunate incident. OFFICIALL PUBLIC STATEMENT 🚨

We are pleased to formally announce a strategic update regarding the legal identity and operational status of our organization. To align with the statutory requirements of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), our organization has officially transitioned from "Zico Humanitarian Foundation" to the Ezichi Chisom Foundation (ECF).
While "Zico" remains a cherished part of our history, the CAC mandates the use of formal personal names for registration purposes. We have embraced this change as a vital step toward full legal integration and accountability.

We understand that many of our partners and beneficiaries were expecting the "Hope for Every Widow" outreach last year. This program was intentionally paused to ensure that all legal frameworks were finalized. By securing our official registration, we are now positioned to operate with "full force," backed by the legitimacy required to engage with our influential stakeholders and international supporters.

In our commitment to global best practices and financial integrity, we are proud to announce the following updates:
* SCUML Registration: We are officially registered with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML), under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
* Dedicated Corporate Banking: An official NGO bank account has been successfully integrated. Moving forward, all financial contributions and organizational transactions must be conducted through this authorized channel to ensure maximum transparency.
