Hello everyone!
This year, 2024 has been a big one for the IEEE SB SIGHT Chapter, Federal University of Technology Owerri. We're excited to share how we've made a positive impact on the community of Umuokanne, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, Imo State with some amazing projects.
Under the guidance of our incredible Chairs and Leaders, Dr. Amadi and Mr. Chinomso Okoronkwo, we worked hard on projects that make a real difference.
Dr. Amadi, a brilliant mind, led the team in implementing the solar powered pump (borehole) for the local hospital, ensuring a reliable water source for patients and staff.
Mr. Chinomso Okoronkwo, a visionary engineer, designed and developed the groundbreaking solar powered dryer for the community farm, a technological marvel that utilizes solar energy to preserve food.
With the help of dedicated students and community volunteers who aided in all three projects, we also provided solar-powered purified water taps for the community. All three projects were finished and launched on the same day, and the response has been incredible.
These projects wouldn't have been possible without the support of our IEEE community and the dedication of our team.
Thanks to our work, the community now has access to clean drinking water, the hospital has a reliable water source, and farmers have a better way to preserve their crops. It's been an incredible journey, and we're excited to see how these projects continue to improve lives.😁🚀
