My brothers, I feel your pain deeply. There is no wound like the one that comes from your own people denying you. It is a different kind of hurt—silent, heavy, and hard to explain.

How can someone who shares your blood, your roots, your language—even if the dialect is different—look at you like a stranger? How did we get here?

From the South East to our brothers among the Ika and Ikwerre, etc, our history is connected. Our culture is tied together. We may speak differently, but our origin tells one story. So why then do we allow division to separate what history has already joined?

Yes, it hurts. It hurts when an Igbo man rejects another Igbo man because of region. It hurts when pride replaces brotherhood. It hurts when we forget who we are.

But my brother, we must not let that pain turn us into the same thing that hurt us.

Let us rise above it.

Let us be the generation that chooses unity over division, truth over ignorance, and love over pride. Let us remind ourselves that no matter where we come from or how we speak, we are still connected.

Because if we continue to divide ourselves, we weaken what our ancestors built.

But if we stand together—no matter the dialect, no matter the location—nothing can break us.

The choice is ours.

Unity is strength.
