INTRODUCTION
In June 18th, 2005, I had an encounter with the Lord calling me into ministry and He said to me: Raise for me a people to whom I will say to welcome thou good and faithful servant. As I pondered on this in my heart, I discovered that I started having a very strong burning passion in me to help my generation to know God, fulfill their God given destiny and better the society where the
y live in. This led me to further studies from 2006 to 2009 in understanding my assignment to humanity, in the process of time God again spoke to me as I was studying the book of Joshua. He said he wants to use me to circumcise hearts of people and roll away reproaches from their lives. This was the exact words. "Then the LORD said to Joshua, Today I have rolled away the shame of your slavery in Egypt so that the place has been called GILGAL to this day." - Joshua 5:9. With this in my mind, the Spirit said to me to begin a foundation and name it GILGAL FOUNDATION. VISION & MISSION STATEMENTS
VISION STATEMENT
In the long run, our vision is to have established, an independent class of people in the society, empowered and grounded in the educational, agricultural as well as other key sectors of the economy, to the glory and honour of God Almighty. MISSION STATEMENT
A. To bring men to encounter Christ Christ and remain in Him by renewing their heart's for God and rolling away their reproach through the instrumentality of the Word of God and Prayers. To raise a generation of people who have their souls set on fire for God. To give a sense of direction and fulfillment to destitutes such as prostitutes, the poor, needy and the less privileged in the society. GOALS OF GILGAL FOUNDATION
A. Provide housing and feeding relief to at least 100,000 people which include children, youths and the aged. Establish an avenue where skill acquisitions such as computer training, agriculture, psalteries/catering services, tailoring and saloon centre's, woodwork, welding, video coverage, etc can be achieved. Operate a School of Ministry (SOM) where godly disciples can be raised in order to fulfill their divine assignment. Offer scholarships to 36 indigent students every year from each state of the federation. DEPARTMENTS
Gilgal Foundation consists of four(4) main departments namely:
DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES & MGT
- Skill Acquisition and Development Centre.
- Guidance and counseling unit.
- Family organization, conflict resolution, marriage training, rehabilitation of the sexually harassed and drug addicts. DEPARTMENT OF RELIGIOUS AND INTER CHRISTIAN RELATIONS
- School of ministry and other outreach programs
- Printing Press Centre.
- Christian Library/ Book Shop. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND LITERARY STUDIES
- Scholarship scheme
- Annual lecture presentation.
- Quarterly seminars, workshop and symposium training for staffs and entire members of the foundation.
- Centre for Research and Entrepreneurship development. DEPARTMENT OF MAINTENANCE AND INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT
- Turn around maintenance of all structural facilities in the foundation. Please pray along with us, we are yet to register this foundation with Corporate Affairs Commission and is yet to be launched. With God we know this vision will be a reality in a short while in Jesus name. Amen
