QUALITY EDUCATION; A PATHWAY TO COMMUNITY AND GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT.

There are four things that are basically the need of man;
1. Food
2. Clothing
3. Shelter.
4. Education

When a man has a roof over his head, a cloth on him and food to eat, survival have been taken care of; But men are not made to just live and survive, men are designed to champion civilization, to improve on their environment and create innovations that would enhance human existence and In order to achieve this, education is the viable pathway and this must be quality education from childhood.

For the civilization we desire, for the developments we crave for, for the creativity we want to see, and for the advancement in technology, science, industry, medicine, entrepreneurship and others we want for our nation, we must prioritize quality education.

A nation who invests in the quality education of the younger generation has solved a good percent of social vices and is already on the path of progress.

For us In CDO FOUNDATION, we are committed to this course and we will continue to do the best we can for students and schools across our nation.

In line with his commitments towards human capital investments, The Founder/president of CDO FOUNDATION; Engr. *NICOK FUN CHALLENGE INTER-SCHOOL SCRABBLE AND CHESS COMPETITION; AN OPPORTUNITY TO JOURNEY TOWARDS GREATNESS*

When BlueprintAfric announced on their media platforms on 20th March that the renowned Chess master Tunde Onakoya secured Visa for five children from Chess in Slum to travel and compete at the Chess Conference in Athens, Georgia, New York City, and Harvard University, there was wide jubilation across the streets and amongst different people especially the Young adults because it was indeed a great opportunity for those young people to display their talents in a global platform, gain access to life transforming opportunities and also advance in their skills and journey of learnings.

Though this duo don't fall under the A-list games usually played amongst young adults and students, the importance of Chess and Scrabble can not be overemphasized.

Chess impacts a child's life by improving cognitive abilities, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and memory, chess fosters important social and emotional skills, like patience, sportsmanship, and confidence. It can also lead to better academic performance and provide a healthy alternative to screen time.

On the strength Of this conviction, The CDO FOUNDATION is embarking on a sensitization program to different secondary schools across Obowo and also sending our invitations to teachers and students from each of the schools to the Grand finale of the NICOK FUN CHALLENGE INTER-SCHOOL SCRABBLE AND CHESS COMPETITION coming up on Saturday 29th November, 2025; in the City of Owerri.

When students from secondary schools across the state gather on Saturday, It is going to be a wonderful and impactful atmosphere out there because of the impacts of the competition amongst our young people and the incentives the participants stands to get.
For the next edition, we are hoping to have students from schools around our Obowo community be fully part of the competition and also availed the opportunity to showcase their talents and possibly win the grand prizes.

This is not just a game, it is an opportunity for a young adult to begin a journey to greatness and that person could be you or someone you know.

ACCESS, A GREAT ASSET!
(Success Codes For Young Minds)

When discussions centered on success and great achievements are ongoing, many persons seems to focus on money and other luxury facilities. To an average person, the moment he comes in contact with a prominent figure, he would want his immediate needs to be met and most times they are things money would solve for the moment.
It is true that People's need differs per time; But for anyone who wants to journey far in the matters of life's success, there's something to desire other than just money to solve immediate needs and that is "Access"

Access to men of nobility is a gold mine, if respected and managed properly, one can be put through and then rise in destiny without too much hurdles.
Wherever you want to get to in life, there are people who have gone there or on their way to that destination, in the day you come in contact with them, endeavor to stay within the ambience of honour so that your paths to success will not be hindered as a result of your ignorance.

If A man says, take 200k or his phone number;
200k will solve your immediate needs but his phone number and your ability to manage relationships will grant you access that might open doors of greatness.

So many people complain about how they don't get favour from certain persons or certain quarters, they talk about how a once opened door suddenly became closed without explanation and they couldn't fathom what would have caused these happenstances.
Truth is, there are little things we ignore that matters a lot in life endeavors.
There are times when people are given small opportunities to handle projects or assignments and it is either they treat it with kid gloves or they choose to waste resources or embezzle funds.

When a man relates with you for anything at all, he is concerned about your service delivery, he is concerned about how effective and how accountable the duties are being discharged and these things are what sets you apart and give you an edge amongst your contemporaries.

There's great advantage attached to being reliable, it opens more doors of opportunities for you before noble men.
If you can deliver and deliver effectively when a role or assignment is given to you, more recommendations will keep coming.

At the beginning of every new era, new phase, new season or New Year, people set goals for themselves and begin to channel every energy within them to achieve these goals.

Some persons would say, before I get to 30 years I will get married and have a house.... These goals are good but putting much pressures on oneself to achieve certain set goals within a season might be detrimental to the person's mental and psychological well-being.

Having high expectations and then not meeting up with them have made most persons find themselves in very tight and unhappy situations in life.

Cut down on your expectations,
Avoid unnecessary comparison and enjoy your life with what you could afford.

LITTLE BARRIERS TO SUCCESS!

In this digital economy, money is very important in giving a man a push to climb up the ladder of success but money isn't everything needed.

There are corridors of exploits where money can not take you to but someone's recommendation would open such doors for you.... just a phone call, an attestation memo or a complimentary card.

Many people have been recommended for something or to somewhere and when they get there, they messed the opportunity up. If you are someone that wouldn't live up to expectations or deliver effectively in the places where you are being recommended to, you might end up blocking opportunities to others or denting the image of the person who recommended you.

Today people no longer have that zeal to recommend others for jobs or offers that would bring transformation just because of the ugly experiences they had in time past with ill behaved, lousy and nonchalant entities.

In our world today, a little opportunity can change the life and trajectory of your family.... Your inability to discharge your duties well or behave well can become a barrier to your success even when you are in the midst of great opportunities.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HAND!

As a young person who desires to get helped and become lifted in life, one of the biggest risk you will be taking is to sit down somewhere wasting and whirling away your time, then expecting a rich uncle to come and give you all the monies in life and declare you successful. Truth is, nobody will help you go far with that mindset.

Yes you might not have the opportunity to come from a privileged background, but at least nothing stops you from being smart and sensible in this dispensation of the 5th industrial revolution.
Any money, resources or even contact given to you today without proper direction and supervision will be blown away like a whirlwind within a twinkle of an eye no matter how much it is; the best thing is not to keep asking for what to be given, equip your hands so that when resources are available you will manage it effectively.

As a young person, what skill do you have?
What business idea do you have?
What distinguished attributes do you have that can keep you in the chambers of noble men?
What qualifications do you have?
What can you be able to do with little or no supervision?

What is in your hands?

In case you don't have anything meaningful in your hands that can launch you into success, please stop begging for temporarily gratification and go and get self equipment first.
