The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) is how Nigeria shares revenue — from oil, VAT, and other sources — between the Federal Government, all 36 states, and all 774 Local Governments, every month.

It's been confirmed that the missing congregants are choristers of the st Thomas Aquinas catholic chaplaincy (STAC) in FUTO, our prayers are with their colleagues and family this period. We call on the HQ Nigerian Army who have a station at obinze, to act fast to rescue them.

This is because Reports have it that the Nigerian police force, ihiagwa branch under the auspices of Nigeria Police Force have absconded their duty and classified this as a matter for forest guards and not the police. HOW DOES SOMEONE BECOME LGA CHAIRMAN IN IMO STATE?
Unlike your governor (elected via INEC), LGA chairmen in Imo are elected through the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) — a state-run process, not a federal one.
Term length and election timing are set by state law. Imo's last LGA election held in September 2024.
Knowing who runs this process is the first step to understanding how it can be improved.

Slide 1: 'Chairman' is not the same office as 'Mayor,' and your LGA chairman is not the same as your governor or your councillor.
Slide 2: The Chairman heads the LGA executive, like a mini-governor for your council.
Slide 3: Councillors form the legislative arm, one per ward, and are meant to check the chairman's spending, not report to him.
Confusing these roles is exactly how accountability gets lost. Tag someone who needs this.

One of the reasons we are talking about LGA here, as you can see here, the IDEATO legislative council (councilors of IDEATO north & south) came together to ban Rochas Okorocha from using the umuchima bridge constructed by Hope Uzodinma because Rochas failed to do it as governor.

NZUKO IDI IMO — A NEW SERIES STARTS TODAY
Most of us can name our governor and our president in our sleep. Ask us to name our own LGA chairman, or what the constitution actually says he must do for us, and many of us go quiet.
That's the gap this series closes.
For the next 30 days, Nzuko Idi Imo is walking every resident of Imo State through what your Local Government is, what it owes you by law, where its money comes from, and what tools you already have to hold every tier of government accountable.
We are not here to praise anybody. We are not here to campaign against anybody. We are here for Ndi Imo — full stop.
