20 YOUNG PEOPLE. 4 SKILLS. ONE LIFE-CHANGING OPPORTUNITY. ❤️

On Friday, 28th August 2026, the training phase of the 4th Edition of Cause a Smile Educational Foundation (CSEDF) Free Annual Skills Acquisition Program will officially come to an end.

And on Sunday, 30th August 2026, all 20 participants will graduate—better equipped with practical skills, confidence and hope for a life of opportunities.

But we don't want their journey to end at graduation.

We want them to leave not only with certificates, but with the tools, resources, mentorship and support they need to turn their newly acquired skills into sustainable opportunities.

This is where YOU can make a difference.

We are proud to celebrate our dedicated volunteer, Miss Obinna Favour Dayo, who represented Cause a Smile Educational Foundation (CSEDF) at the 2-Day National Stakeholders Workshop on Gender Responsive Pedagogy, organized by CSACEFA on 12–13 August 2026 in Owerri, Imo State.

The workshop provided valuable insights into creating inclusive, equitable and gender-responsive learning environments where every child and young person—regardless of gender—has the opportunity to learn, participate and thrive.

For CSEDF, this is more than just a workshop. It is capacity building that strengthens our work in education, youth development, skills acquisition and community empowerment.

We are committed to continuously learning, growing and equipping our volunteers with the knowledge and skills needed to create lasting positive change in our communities.

❤️ A PROMISE MADE. A PROMISE KEPT. 🥹🏆

Sometimes, a small promise can become a powerful memory in the life of a young person.

Last year, Cause a Smile Educational Foundation (CSEDF) started an Annual Essay Writing Competition with one simple dream:

To help young people think about their future, discover their potential, and make better decisions about their career paths. 📚✨

The first edition was themed:

📝 “Influence of Peers on Career Choice.”

Hundreds of thoughts, ideas and dreams found expression through the essays submitted.

But one young lady stood out.

🌟 Miss Chukwu MaryMajella Chimdi emerged as the Best Essay Winner! 🏆

At the time, CSEDF made a commitment to honour her achievement.

And yesterday, Sunday, 9th August 2026, that promise was fulfilled. ❤️

She was presented with a Certificate of Award and a signed bank cheque of ₦10,000 as her prize.

💭 Why does this matter?

Because sometimes, what a young person needs is not much.

Sometimes, they simply need someone to say:

“We see you.”
“Your effort matters.”
“Keep going.”
“Your dreams are worth pursuing.”

Yesterday, MaryMajella received more than a certificate and a cheque.

She received a reminder that her voice matters, her talent matters, and her dreams matter. 🥹❤️

At CSEDF, we don't just want to give young people opportunities.

We want to keep our promises to them.

Because when we invest in the dreams of young people today, we are helping to build the leaders, professionals, innovators and change-makers of tomorrow. 🌍✨
