Our journey started with a needs assessment to The Peculiar Kiddies Primary School, Dan Anyiam Stadium, where We observed that some pupils were resuming the new academic session without basic learning materials - school bags, books, writing materials - which was affecting their confidence and readiness to learn as a matter of difficulty in providing these essentials due to economic constraints.

As part of our commitment to Rotary's Area of Focus - Basic Education and Literacy, the Rotaract Club of Owerri Metropolitan and Rotaract Club of Imo State University Main Campus in partnership with Her Hope and Future Impact Initiative (HHFI) successfully executed our Back to School Outreach

Driven by the needs, we came together to plan an intervention aimed at not just providing materials, but restoring hope, confidence, and excitement for school.

Yesterday, Wednesday 23rd September 2026 by 10:00am at Dan Anyiam Stadium (The Peculiar Kiddies Primary School), we distributed school bags, notebooks, and other writing materials to the pupils.
The smiles, the excitement, and the eagerness on their faces said it all - they are truly ready for school now.

This project is more than an outreach; it is an investment in the future of these children and a step towards reducing the barrier to quality basic education.

Special appreciation to all Rotaractors, our partner HHFI and every volunteer who made this project a success.
