OCAG was essentially established to address the socio-economic and health concerns of the people of Benue State and other communities OCAG envisages a future where the vulnerable and marginalized community members have access and control over resources. A healthy, caring and supportive society of peaceful co-existence, where there is equity and equality in distribution and self-reliance. The means
to achieve this is embedded in our mission of facilitating relevant community based programs and services that empower vulnerable and marginalized members of the community to be responsible in their productive and reproductive roles. It is against this backdrop that for OCAG to achieve its mission and objectives, its core approach and competency in cognizance with its values; transparency, accountability and commitment- is in the delivery of HIV/AIDS and reproductive health community education and support programs, small holder agriculture training and sustainable livelihood, community networking, mobilization and training, social and civic advocacy for the vulnerable and marginalized, environmental conservation and microcredit for financial empowerment. It’s these aspects that define OCAG multi-dimension approach to poverty reduction among the underserved but deserving poor and marginalized communities.
