The Ogun State Nigeria for Women Project held training for Ward Facilitators and Women Affinity Group representatives on key themes including maternal and child health, nutrition, gender-based violence, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), climate change, and social norms. The trained participants will go on to share what they’ve learned with Women Affinity Groups and other community members.

This pilot initiative is part of the project’s Scale-Up agenda to empower women and communities through targeted training and support. With technical guidance from the Centre for Communication and Social Impact, we are building lasting solutions that help women make informed decisions and thrive.

Women are innovators, problem-solvers, and creators, yet they remain underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Despite making up about 30% of STEM graduates, only 24% of the STEM workforce consists of women. To bridge this gap, we must take action:

- Encourage early STEM education for young girls.
- Provide scholarships & mentorship to support women in STEM.
- Create inclusive work environments that foster growth.

When we empower women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, we drive innovation and progress for all. Let’s break the barriers together!

If you’re feeling exhausted, here’s your reminder: Rest is productive too.

Take a break, say no when needed, and prioritize yourself. Your well-being matters.

Handmade bags, clothes, and accessories showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of Nigerian women. Yet, many struggle to get fair prices for their work.

When we buy locally made products, we’re not just supporting a business—we’re investing in women, families, and communities.
