Today, May 21, 2026, marks exactly five years since Nigeria witnessed one of the most painful moments in its military history.

On this day in 2021, the nation lost the 21st Chief of Army Staff, , alongside ten other gallant officers and personnel in a tragic air crash while in active service to the nation.

Their sudden passing shook Nigeria to its core and left behind a legacy of courage, sacrifice, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to national security.

Five years later, the memories of these fallen heroes continue to live on in the hearts of Nigerians and within the history of the . Their service, dedication, and sacrifices for the peace, unity, and stability of Nigeria will never be forgotten.

Today, we honour their memories, salute their courage, and pray for the peaceful repose of their souls.

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved brother and dedicated cadet, Private Suleiman Abdullahi of the CADET Network Niger State Command Headquarters, who departed this life on 19th May, 2026.

Private Suleiman Abdullahi was a disciplined, loyal, and committed member who served with courage, humility, and dedication to humanity and the organization. His sacrifice, service, and good character will never be forgotten.
On behalf of the entire CADET Network family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones during this difficult moment.

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and give his family the strength to bear this great loss.

Rest on, gallant cadet. Your service and legacy will continue to inspire us.

WORKERS’ DAY 2026: NCN OSUN CELEBRATES GLOBAL WORKFORCE, CALLS FOR INTEGRITY AND DISCIPLINE

Friday, 1st May, 2026

The Nigeria Cadet Network, Osun State Command, under the able leadership of the Osun State Commander and National Director of Media & Publicity, Aux. Amb. Commander Adegboyega Samuel O., warmly felicitates with workers across Nigeria and the world on the occasion of the 2026 International Workers’ Day, while also extending heartfelt welcome to the new month of May 2026.

In his goodwill message, Commander Adegboyega described workers as the engine room of national and global development, noting that their tireless efforts, sacrifices, and dedication remain the foundation upon which economic growth, institutional stability, and societal progress are built. He appreciated the commitment of workers in both public and private sectors who continue to contribute meaningfully despite economic and social challenges.

He emphasized that the dignity of labour must always be upheld, as no honest work is insignificant in the journey of nation-building. According to him, every worker plays a vital role in shaping a better society, and their contributions deserve recognition, respect, and continuous encouragement.

Commander Adegboyega further advised all workers to remain steadfast in the values of diligence, loyalty, discipline, and integrity in all areas of life. He noted that these principles are not only essential for personal growth and career advancement but also critical for building trust, efficiency, and excellence in the workplace.

He encouraged workers to remain focused, resilient, and committed to their responsibilities, stressing that professionalism and ethical conduct will always distinguish individuals in their various fields of service.

The Commander concluded by wishing all workers a happy International Workers’ Day celebration and a fruitful and prosperous month of May 2026, praying for strength, peace, and greater accomplishm
