Courtesy Visit to Chief Muyiwa Aina, Baale of Eripa Community.

In obedience to the directive of the Deputy General Commander (DGC) Rank and Promotion, AMB Assistant Brigadier Commander Ogunkunle Joshua, a courtesy visit was carried out to Chief Muyiwa Aina, the Baale of Eripa community.

The team was led by AMB CSP Azeez Ganiyu Akin, the Officer in Charge of Iree Regional Command and the Acting Director of Cadet Police, Osun State. The mission was successfully accomplished with the support and presence of the following officers:

Upon our arrival, Chief Muyiwa Aina warmly welcomed us and expressed his delight in receiving the team. During the introduction, he proudly identified himself as a former cadet member, which helped establish a strong bond and mutual understanding from the outset.

He went on to deliver a brief but insightful lecture on the core values of discipline, the importance of being a regimental officer, and how every cadet must strive to be a worthy ambassador to the community. He emphasized that cadet officers must uphold integrity, commitment, and service at all times.

After his valuable orientation and words of advice, the Chief invited us to share any concerns or requests. In response, the Regional Officer in Charge stood up and formally made a request for support in establishing a Cadet base within Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. He asked if there was any way the Chief could assist in making this vision a reality.

In response, Chief Muyiwa Aina acknowledged the importance of the request. He stated that while the process may not be easy, he is committed to supporting the movement. He then requested that two cadet officers be made available next week to accompany him to Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, for a meeting with the Dean of Student Affairs and the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution.

This is to initiate the necessary consultations and steps toward the proposed establishment.

Following this, we had a productive discussion on the appointment of a Patron and Matron to support the regional command’s activities within the institution and beyond. Chief Muyiwa assured us of his continued support and involvement, pledging to assist in securing reputable and community-minded individuals to serve in those roles.

To commemorate the visit and show our appreciation, the team presented a wall clock covered with the C.A.D.E.T.I. logo, representing the Iree Regional Command. The Chief was visibly pleased with the gesture. After this, we took group photographs with the Chief, capturing the moment of unity and collaboration. With gratitude and encouragement from our host, we respectfully departed his residence.

This visit marks another step forward in building community ties, strengthening institutional presence, and promoting discipline, leadership, and service within and beyond the cadet framework.

Subject: Report on Official Courtesy Visit to the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Osun State Secretariat

Evening Sirs,

I am pleased to formally report the successful completion of our official courtesy visit to the Ministry of Youth Affairs at the Osun State Secretariat. This visit was part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and foster collaboration with key government institutions.

Delegation Composition:

The delegation was led by me, AMB CSP Azeez Ganiyu Akin, Officer in Charge of Iree Regional Command and Acting Director of Cadet Police, Osun State. I was accompanied by the following distinguished officers:

Reception and Engagement:

Upon arrival, we were warmly received by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. AARE Abdulmajeed Oladimeji, alongside two other Special Advisers in his office. The atmosphere was cordial and encouraging, reflecting the spirit of cooperation we aim to build.

Hon. AARE Abdulmajeed began by extending his heartfelt congratulations to me on my recent appointment as Acting Director of the Cadet Police, Osun State. He followed with a personal introduction, after which he inquired about the purpose of our visit.

Purpose of Visit and Presentation:

In response, I explained that we were representing the Supreme Ruling Council of the Cadet Initiative, Osun State Command, with the primary aim of:

1. Presenting our mission and strategic vision for youth engagement and discipline through the Cadet structure in Osun State.

2. Making formal requests essential to our continued growth, visibility, and operational support.

3. Fostering a stronger institutional relationship with the Ministry to encourage future collaboration and involvement in youth-focused programs.

Key Requests Made:

Two major requests were presented, both of which were well received. Hon. Abdulmajeed assured us that he would personally follow up on the matters raised and provide us with positive feedback in due course.

Outcomes and Conclusion:

Following a productive dialogue, we delivered a brief formal presentation to further highlight the objectives, structure, and impact of the Cadet organization within the state.

The meeting concluded with mutual expressions of readiness to work more closely together in the interest of youth development, discipline, and public safety.

We left the Secretariat confident in the support and goodwill of the Ministry, and more importantly, encouraged by their openness to collaboration and their willingness to contribute to our shared vision.
