HAPPY NEW MONTH MESSAGE TO THE YOUTHS OF OSUN STATE

Dear youths of Osun State, I warmly welcome you to a new month and sincerely thank Almighty God for the gift of life and the privilege of seeing another month. It is always a thing of joy to witness the beginning of a new season, and I pray that this month brings peace, joy, good health, favour, and new opportunities to every young person across our dear state. I greet you all in the spirit of love, peace, unity, and harmony, believing that these values will continue to guide our relationships and strengthen our communities. No matter what you may have gone through in recent times, I encourage you to remain hopeful because every new month comes with fresh opportunities and another chance to move closer to your dreams.

As the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the apex and umbrella body for youth organizations in our country, I want to sincerely appreciate every affiliate organization, every Local Government Branch, for the commitment you have continued to show in promoting peace and youth development across Osun State. Your dedication to community service, volunteer activities, and youth engagement has helped to maintain harmony in many of our communities. I do not take your sacrifices for granted, and I encourage you to keep doing your best. Together, we have shown that when young people unite for a common purpose, they can become a powerful force for positive change.

As we draw closer to the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, I want to appeal to every young person to remain peaceful, responsible, and law-abiding. Political campaigns will soon become more active, and there will be different opinions, arguments, and alignments. While everyone has the constitutional right to support the candidate or political party of their choice, we must never allow politics to divide us or destroy the peace we have worked so hard to build. Elections will come and go, but we will continue to live together as neighbours, friends, and brothers and sisters. Let us therefore conduct ourselves in a way that promotes peace and earns the respect of others.

I also want to advise our youths not to allow themselves to be used for electoral violence or any activity capable of causing trouble in our communities. No political ambition is worth your life, your future, or your freedom. Do not accept money or promises from anyone to intimidate others, destroy property, or engage in acts that can bring shame to you and your family. The strength of Osun youths lies in our character, our intelligence, and our ability to contribute positively to society. Let us prove once again that the youths of Osun are responsible, enlightened, and committed to protecting the peace and unity of our state.

To every young person striving to build a better future, I encourage you to remain diligent, focused, and hardworking. Success does not always come quickly, but consistent effort, patience, and determination will always produce results. Continue to improve yourself through education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and honest work. Avoid shortcuts and never lose sight of your goals because of temporary challenges. The future belongs to those who prepare for it today, and I have no doubt that Osun youths have the talent, creativity, and determination to excel in every field of human endeavour.

I know that these are not the easiest of times for many young people. The economic situation has placed enormous pressure on families, businesses, students, and job seekers. Many of our youths are working tirelessly just to make ends meet, and I truly understand those realities. However, I encourage you not to lose hope. Continue to believe in yourself, remain prayerful, support one another, and take advantage of every legitimate opportunity that comes your way. Difficult times do not last forever, and I believe that with perseverance, better days are ahead for our youths and for our dear state.

As we begin this new month, let us remain united in purpose and committed to building an Osun State where peace, progress, and development will continue to flourish. Let us be good ambassadors of our families, our communities, and our state by living responsibly and contributing positively wherever we find ourselves. I pray that Almighty God blesses the work of your hands, grants you wisdom to make the right decisions, protects you and your loved ones, and makes this month one of testimonies and breakthroughs. Happy New Month to all the wonderful youths of Osun State. Together, we will continue to build a brighter future for ourselves and generations yet unborn.

God bless you all
_Happy New Month_
