Donates books to State library, grants scholarships to primary school pupils

We believe that every child deserves the chance to learn and grow. Earlier today, we proudly distributed exercise books to 200 pupils at Anthony Udofia Primary School Osogbo Osun State, providing them with essential tools for their education.

LiteraReach is ready to roll our sleeves to empower young minds and provide them with the access to tools they need to survive.

LiteraReach is impacting history!

Yesterday, we announced our newest achievements in raising literacy rates and empowering young learners in Osun State. 📚

Among the notable accomplishments are:

𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝'𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: As a result of the intervention during the summer session, we initiated and received a wonderful contribution of 156 age-appropriate books to promote reading in schools.

𝐓𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬: Following our extensive efforts at Anthony Udofia Primary School, we have seen how a lack of resources has impacted some children. As a result, we are assisting ten underprivileged students in remaining in school by granting complete tuition scholarships.

𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬: We are providing 400 note books to the pupils in primary 2 and 3 at Anthony Udofia Primary School have the most basic resources.

We are glad to announce that our summer coaching will be rounding up this week. 🥳🥳🥳

This will follow our assessment to gauge the impact in the lives of over 40 pupils that attended.

The assessment covers a part of the lessons our dedicated volunteers have taken their time to teach the pupils.

In a quest to increase the literacy rate of pupils in our immediate environment, we went into partnership with the Osun State Library for a summer boot camp targeted towards increasing reading ability and promoting the reading culture.

We kickstarted two weeks ago and recorded a high participation.

Our participants were introduced to the modern methodologies of reading, as well as the maximisation of peer reading.
