MAN O’ WAR NIGERIA, OSUN STATE COMMAND COMMEMORATES 2026 CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The Man O’ War Nigeria, Osun State Command, joins millions of Nigerians and the international community in celebrating the 2026 Children’s Day, a special occasion dedicated to honouring the innocence, dreams, talents, and future of children across the nation.

Children remain the pride of every society and the foundation upon which the future of any nation is built. As an organization committed to discipline, leadership development, community service, and nation-building, Man O’ War Nigeria recognizes the importance of protecting, nurturing, and empowering every child to become responsible and productive members of society.

On this significant occasion, the Osun State Command calls on parents, guardians, educators, religious institutions, community leaders, and government at all levels to continue prioritizing the welfare, education, moral upbringing, and security of children. Every child deserves a safe environment, quality education, proper guidance, and equal opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.

While commemorating this year’s Children’s Day celebration, the Command also expresses deep concern and heartfelt sympathy over the unfortunate incident involving the reported abduction of school children, including infants and young pupils, alongside some teachers in Ogbomosho Area of Oyo State by suspected armed bandits.

The Osun State Command of Man O’ War Nigeria strongly condemns every act of violence, criminality, and insecurity targeted at innocent citizens, especially children. We extend our sincere condolences and solidarity to the affected families, the school community, and the Government and people of Oyo State during this painful and distressing moment.

We fervently pray for the quick, safe, and unharmed release of all victims and call on relevant security agencies to intensify efforts towards ensuring their rescue and the restoration of peace and security within the affected area.

Furthermore, we use this opportunity to pray for the peace, unity, stability, and progress of Nigeria and Osun State in particular. May Almighty God continue to protect our children, strengthen our leaders with wisdom and courage, and grant our nation lasting peace, security, and prosperity.

As we celebrate our children today, let us all renew our collective responsibility towards building a society where every child can grow without fear, oppression, violence, or insecurity.

The State Commander of Man O’ War Nigeria, Osun State Command, MC SD Omole accompanied by his Deputy Administrator, Deputy TOR, Provost Marshall, the Media Crew, and other officers, conducted official courtesy visits to INEC resident electoral commissioner, Mrs. Oluwatoyin O. Babalola

1. Visit to the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner
The first visit was paid to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osun State, where the State Commander and his team met with Mrs. Oluwatoyin O. Babalola, the Resident Electoral Commissioner.

During the visit:
The usefulness and contributions of Man O’ War Nigeria in community service were highlighted.
Discussions were held on how the organization can support INEC in preparation for the forthcoming elections.
Mrs. Babalola warmly received the delegation and commended the organization for its ongoing community engagement and public service.
She encouraged her officials to allow their children to join Man O’ War Nigeria, recognizing the organization’s positive impact on youth discipline and societal development.

2. Visit to Alhaji S.O. Ibrahim
Following the INEC visit, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Alhaji S.O. Ibrahim, Regional Secretary for the Southwest ANC. The State Commander and his officers discussed ongoing collaborative initiatives and reinforced the relationship between Man O’ War Nigeria and the regional office.

Observations and Outcomes:
Both visits were marked by cordial interactions and mutual recognition of efforts.
The delegation successfully conveyed Man O’ War Nigeria’s readiness to support electoral and community activities.

MAN O’ WAR NIGERIA, OSUN STATE COMMAND COMMENCES RENOVATION OF STATE HEADQUARTERS

Osogbo, Osun State – 09/05/2026

The leadership of Man O’ War Nigeria, Osun State Command, under the administration of the State Commander, MC S.D. Omole, has commenced the renovation and rehabilitation of the State Headquarters as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the Command for greater operational efficiency, improved working conditions, and institutional development.

The renovation project, which is currently ongoing at the Command Headquarters, includes extensive cleaning of the premises, refurbishment of offices, repainting of both the interior and exterior sections of the building, and general structural improvements aimed at giving the facility a more conducive and professional outlook.

In a remarkable demonstration of leadership and commitment, the State Commander, MC S.D. Omole, alongside members of the State Executive Council and other officers of the Command, actively participated in the renovation exercise. The Commander was personally involved in the repainting and restoration activities, reflecting the administration’s dedication to service, teamwork, and responsible leadership by example.

The renovation exercise was made possible through the collective financial contributions and support of officers and members of Man O’ War Nigeria, Osun State Command, who voluntarily donated resources towards the successful ex*****on of the project. This spirit of unity and sacrifice further highlights the shared commitment of members towards the growth and transformation of the organization.

Since the assumption of office of the current administration, the State Headquarters has continued to witness significant improvements, gradually taking on a more impressive and befitting appearance that aligns with the vision of the leadership for a disciplined, organized, and progressive Command structure.

Speaking on the development, the leadership of the Command reaffirmed its commitment to infrastructural renewal, organizational growth, and the welfare of officers and members across the state. Handing Over Ceremony & Birthday Celebration of Former State Commander.
_Held at the State Headquarters, Osogbo_

The Man O’ War Nigeria, Osun State Command, witnessed a dual celebration today as officers and cadets gathered at the State Headquarters in Osogbo for the official handing over ceremony and the birthday celebration of the outgoing State Commander.

Handing Over Ceremony.
The handing over marked a transition in leadership as Newly Commander’s MC. S.D Omole formally assumed office from Outgoing Commander’s Ambassador MA Taiwo. In his remarks, the outgoing Commander expressed gratitude to the National Command, officers, and cadets for their support throughout his tenure. He highlighted key achievements recorded under his leadership, including improved training programs, community service outreaches, and stronger inter-agency collaboration within Osun State.

The Newly Commander, in his acceptance speech, pledged to uphold the standards set and to work toward expanding the reach and impact of Man O’ War in Osun. He called for unity, commitment, and renewed dedication among all ranks.

*Birthday Celebration*
Following the official handover, the command marked the birthday of the former State Commander with a brief celebration. Officers and cadets joined in singing and presenting goodwill messages. Speakers described the celebrant as a disciplined leader whose tenure strengthened the command’s structure and morale.
