"Spelling Bee Competition Success! 📚🏆

The Rotaract Club of Agbarho City Centre, on the 26th of September, 2025 organized her Annual Spelling Bee Competition for secondary schools in Agbarho Community. The event aimed to promote literacy, encourage healthy competition, and provide a platform for students to showcase their talents. 🌟

We partnered with:

- Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre
- Rotaract Club of Effurun Community Base
- Rotaract Club of Ekpan Community Base
- Rotaract Club of Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE)
- Rotaract Club of Petroleum Training Institute (PTI)
- Rotaract Club of Edjeba

The competition was a huge success, with students showcasing their spelling skills and having a blast! 🎉 Winners received prizes, and all participants got encouragement gifts. 🎁

Rotaract Club of Agbarho City Centre Celebrating World Cleanup Day

Dirty gutters can severely harm the environment, contaminating water, soil, and air, damaging ecosystems, and threatening human health, underscoring the need for regular maintenance and sustainable drainage solutions.

Yesterday, the Rotaract Club of Agbarho City Centre joined hands with Rotary clubs, other Rotaract clubs, and various organizations to celebrate World Cleanup Day. Together, we carried out an extensive environmental sanitation initiative from UTI Junction to PTI Junction.
The collaboration between Rotaract Club of Agbarho City Centre, Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre , Rotary Club of Bendel Estate Rotary Bendel , Rotaract Club of Osubi, Rotaract Club of FUPRE and several other organizations displayed the power of unity in addressing environmental issues.

As we cleaned up the streets and public spaces, we not only made our surroundings cleaner but also raised awareness about the importance of environmental preservation. It was heartwarming to see members of different organizations come together for a common cause, showing that collective action can bring about meaningful change.

This World Cleanup Day initiative was a reminder that by working together, we can create a cleaner and greener future for our community. The Rotaract Club of Agbarho City Centre is proud to have been part of this impactful event and looks forward to more collaborations in the future to make our world a better place.

Fellow Rotaractors!
I want to gladly welcome u to the month of August.
As we step into this new month, I want to take a moment to appreciate each and everyone of you, your dedication, expertise, and passion are the driving forces behind our success.

In this month of August, Rotary wants us to increase our membership strength and also try to reten and develop our old members. In doing this I want to encourage everyone of us to invite at least one person to our meeting and also encourage them to participate whenever we have projects to do. So that together we can make a great impact in our communities.

Dear teammates, let's remember that as Rotaractors membership drive is our sole responsibility and in this manner I want us to prepare our minds to attend the forthcoming Membership development seminar coming up in Warri this very August ending.

"Combatting Maternal Mortality in Our Community!

On Thursday the 25th of July ,2024, The Rotaract Club of Agbarho City Centre in partnership with The Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre successfully executed our Maternal and Child Health project at Agbarho General Hospital, aimed at reducing maternal mortality rates in our community!

Nigeria has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world, with many deaths occurring due to:

Lack of access to quality healthcare
Inadequate postpartum care
Insufficient hygiene and sanitation

Our project tackles these issues head-on by:

Distributing postpartum kits to over 20 nursing mothers and also distributing Diapers to New born,
providing essential items for a comfortable recovery
Providing diapers to babies, ensuring their health and hygiene

By supporting new mothers and babies, we're working to:

Reduce postpartum complications
Prevent infections
Promote healthy habits

Together, let's curb maternal mortality and ensure a healthy future for our community! "
