Esther — The Woman God Positioned for a Purpose

Esther was a Jewish young woman who became queen of Persia. When a plan was made to destroy her people, Esther faced a difficult decision. She chose courage, approached the king, and used her position to help save the Jews.

Key Verse:

“And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14

KEY LESSON:
God can place you in a particular position for a particular purpose. Don't be afraid to stand for what is right when the opportunity comes.

DAY 5 — NEHEMIAH

Book: Nehemiah
Key Verse: “The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore, we his servants will arise and build.” — Nehemiah 2:20

THE STORY OF NEHEMIAH

Nehemiah was serving as the cupbearer to King Artaxerxes when he heard that Jerusalem was in ruins and its walls had been broken down.

He became deeply burdened for his people. Nehemiah wept, fasted and prayed before God. He then asked the king for permission and resources to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls.

When he arrived, he organized the people and began the work. Despite opposition from Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem, Nehemiah refused to abandon the assignment.

The walls were eventually completed in 52 days.

LESSONS FROM NEHEMIAH

* Pray before you act.
* Turn godly burdens into purposeful action.
* Don't allow opposition to stop God's work.
* Lead with courage and unity.
* When God gives you an assignment, arise and build.

Nehemiah teaches us that prayer can produce action, and faith can turn ruins into restoration.

DAY 3 — SAMUEL

Samuel’s story is a beautiful picture of a life surrendered to God from childhood.

Born in answer to Hannah’s prayer, Samuel was dedicated to the Lord and grew up serving in God’s house. As a young boy, he learned to recognize God’s voice and responded:

> “Speak; for thy servant heareth.” — 1 Samuel 3:10

Samuel became a prophet, judge, and intercessor in Israel. He faithfully delivered God’s messages, prayed for the people, anointed Saul as king, and later anointed David according to God’s instruction.

One of the greatest lessons from Samuel’s life is that obedience matters more than religious activity.

“To obey is better than sacrifice.” — 1 Samuel 15:22

LESSON FROM SAMUEL

Listen when God speaks.
Obey when God commands.
Pray even when others give up.
Remain faithful even when the assignment is difficult.

Samuel reminds us that a life that listens to God can influence an entire generation.

Joshua was a faithful servant of Moses who was later chosen by God to lead Israel into the Promised Land.

His journey was filled with challenges, battles, and moments that required great faith. Yet God gave him a powerful instruction:

>“Be strong and of a good courage… for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
> Joshua 1:9

Joshua’s life teaches us that courage is not the absence of fear; it is choosing to trust God despite the challenges before us.

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM JOSHUA?
• Be courageous when God gives you an assignment.
• Obey God's instructions.
• Lead with faith, not fear.
• Trust God's presence in difficult seasons.

DAY 1 — MOSES

Moses was born at a time when Pharaoh ordered Hebrew baby boys to be killed. God preserved his life, raised him in Pharaoh’s household, and later called him from the burning bush to deliver Israel from slavery. (Exodus 1–3)

Despite his fears and weaknesses, Moses obeyed God and became a great leader, prophet, and intercessor. God used him to lead Israel out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, and toward the Promised Land.

“Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.” — Numbers 12:3

LESSON FROM MOSES

God can use you despite your weaknesses. Stay humble, obey His voice, and trust His presence.
