Terry Baker – Drummer | Producer | Worship Leader | Visionary
With over three decades of experience as a professional drummer, producer, and musical director, Terry Baker has become a defining force in modern gospel and contemporary music. His deep commitment to musical excellence and innovation has earned him a revered place among industry leaders, both in the studio and on the stage.
Terry has recorded on over 400 albums, collaborating with iconic artists whose voices have helped shape generations. His discography includes legendary names such as Kirk Franklin, Aretha Franklin, Tori Kelly, Robert Randolph, Michael McDonald, Maverick City Music, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Tramaine Hawkins, The Clark Sisters, Kurt Carr, Shirley Caesar, O’Landa Draper, Albertina Walker, Marvin Sapp, Israel Houghton, Bobby Jones, Beverly Crawford, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, T.D. Jakes, Paul Morton, Joe Pace, Lamar Campbell, RiZen, William Murphy, and many others.
As a producer and co-producer of more than 200 recordings, Terry’s creative fingerprints can be found across a wide spectrum of gospel music. His dynamic live performances and tour work have included over 100 national and international artists, reflecting a career marked by versatility, excellence, and spiritual depth.
Terry is the founder and co-owner of Baker Brothers Music, a production company he operates with his brother Simeon Baker, as well as co-owner of BakerMann Backline Company. He currently serves as Drummer and Percussionist for Grammy Award-winning artist Kirk Franklin.
