On the occasion of Nigeria's Democracy Day, June 12, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Nigerians as we commemorate another milestone in our democratic journey.

Democracy Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our heroes past and the collective commitment of citizens toward building a nation founded on freedom, justice, equity, and the rule of law. It is a day to reflect on the progress we have made as a people and to renew our dedication to democratic values that promote peace, unity, and sustainable development.

As Nigerians, we must continue to support initiatives that strengthen our democratic institutions, encourage responsible leadership, and foster national cohesion. Dr. Sotayo Olusola Rasaq aka Solebo, National President Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria MOUN has called on all riders and members to take full advantage of the ongoing Phase Two Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) registration exercise.

According to the President, the PVC remains the most powerful instrument for citizens to express their rights, participate in governance, and influence decisions that directly affect their lives and livelihoods. He emphasized that riders form a significant part of the grassroots and must not exclude themselves from the democratic process.

Dr. Rasaq urged eligible members who are yet to register to promptly visit designated registration centers and complete the process. He also encouraged those who have registered to mobilize colleagues, friends, and family members to do the same.

He reaffirmed that active civic participation strengthens democracy, promotes accountability, and ensures that the voices of riders are properly represented in leadership decisions.
