Skill Up The Teenagers Initiative Holds Skill Training at Ogbomoso Girlsβ High School
The Skill Up The Teenagers Initiative (SUT) has successfully conducted another 2 β Days impactful training session as part of the continuation of its program at Ogbomoso Girlsβ High School, Ogbomoso.
During the session, a total of 55 students actively participated in different skill acquisition classes organized by the initiative. The students were distributed across the training areas as follows:
β’ 27 students participated in Graphic Design
β’ 25 students participated in Crocheting
β’ 2 students participated in Laptop Repair training
β’ 1 student participated in Solar Installation training
The training was highly engaging as students showed enthusiasm and interest in acquiring practical skills that can help them become creative, productive, and self-reliant.
Being a girlsβ school, it was particularly encouraging to see students showing interest in technical and vocational skills, including areas that are often considered outside traditional female roles.
Speaking on behalf of the Principal, the Vice Principal, Mr. Ajayi Ayokunle Enerst, expressed appreciation to the Skill Up The Teenagers Initiative (SUT) for bringing such a valuable program to the school. He commended the initiative for the opportunity given to the students and encouraged the team to extend the program to other schools so that more teenagers can benefit from the impactful training.
Students who participated in the various sessions also expressed their gratitude to the initiative. They described the training as eye-opening and inspiring, appreciating the opportunity given to them to learn practical skills that could be useful for their future.
The Skill Up The Teenagers Initiative (SUT) also expressed gratitude to God for the success of the program and reaffirmed its commitment to empowering teenagers through practical skill development, mentorship, and hands-on training.
The initiative continues to pursue its vision of building skills, building character, and building the future for teenagers.
