NYCN OGBOMOSO ZONE HOSTS STATE-ZONAL ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM
The NYCN Ogbomoso zonal chapter today hosted a state-zonal engagement program, welcoming Com. Eniola Alex, the NYCN Oyo State Council Chairman, to discuss key issues and initiatives affecting the state. The event brought together dignitaries, leaders, and representatives from various organizations to foster collaboration and drive progress.
Com. Saheed Taiwo, the Zonal Chairman, expressed appreciation for Com. Eniola Alex's efforts in repositioning the state council, highlighting his contributions as significant to the council's progress. Com. Olaniyan Mayowa, the state legal adviser, noted that the meeting aimed to create a fresh opportunity for engagement between the state council and the zonal chapter, allowing for open discussions and collective problem-solving.
Com. Eniola Alex presented an update on state activities, including efforts to address insecurity through collaboration with the DSS Oyo state command and other security agencies. He also highlighted the council's sensitization efforts targeting youth, focusing on issues such as irregular migration. Citing data on Oyo state's irregular migration trends, he appealed to the youths to support the state's economic development and use approved channels for international travel.
He further emphasized the importance of youth involvement in the state's economic growth, encouraging them to explore opportunities within the state and contribute to its development. Com. Eniola Alex also discussed the Local Government Congress, noting the constituting of a committee with zonal representatives to ensure local government functionality.
The immediate past zonal chairman, Com. Matthew Oyewusi, requested equal opportunities and empowerment for all zones, commending the state council's efforts in revitalizing weak local governments. He emphasized the need for inclusive development and support for all zones to ensure balanced progress across the state.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Dr. Bukola Olatunji, Apostle Ranti Ajani, Apostle Job Ajani, Mr. Paul Olapade, Chief Jimoh Fatai, Com. T.T Wisdom, local government coordinators in the zone, and heads of organizations.
The Zonal Working Committee (ZWC) was presented, comprising Com. Abass, Com. Akinade Adewale, Com. Sulaimon, Com. Ojo Joel, Com. Kehinde, and Com. Yusuff.
The state-zonal engagement program having about 196 representative of different organizations in attendance facilitated meaningful discussions on youth engagement, and local government development, reinforcing collaboration between the NYCN Ogbomoso Zone and the State Council. The event underscored the importance of collective efforts in driving progress and addressing challenges facing the state, setting the stage for continued partnership and development initiatives.
