We’re excited to announce the launch of YouSustain!
YouSustain – Youth Collaboration for Sustainable African Futures

YouSustain brings together young people and youth organisations (ages 22–30) from Africa and Europe, including Germany, Italy, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia, to collaborate, learn, and act on today’s most pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.

The Creative Kids Zone is honoured to be part of this international consortium committed to youth leadership, climate justice, and migration justice.

🤝 Our Partners
Farafina Institute | Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Germany) | University of Palermo (Italy) | Centro Diaconale (Italy) | Footprints for Change | Clever Minds of Refugees | Connecting Communities | Associação Ilha de Moçambique (Mozambique)| Tuboreshe Pamoja (Kenya)| Health Vision Agency (Uganda) | University of Zambia (Zambia)

Through youth exchanges, creative expression, and advocacy, the project empowers young people to:
- Strengthen their capacities and leadership with youth exchanges across Africa and Europe
- Engage in critical dialogue on migration, climate justice, and colonial legacies
- Use theatre and photography as tools for decolonial storytelling and advocacy
- Build strong cross-regional networks for inclusive governance and systemic change

By fostering participatory and decolonial approaches, YouSustain aims to amplify youth voices and support youth-led organisations in becoming influential actors for sustainable and just futures across Africa and Europe.

The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission.

Stay tuned as we share updates on how you can be a part of this.

Over the weekend, Our executive director Oluwadamilola Ojo spent time with business owners and SMEs.

She told them this: "Your phone is not just for scrolling use it for scaling.”
The same device we use for chats and selfies can become a digital office, a marketing tool, and a global storefront.

Visibility creates opportunity.
Your business can travel farther than your feet ever will by leveraging digital tools.

You don’t need permission to go global. You already have everything you need to grow.

Africa’s youth make up over 60% of the continent’s population, yet millions still face barriers to quality education and employable skills. This is why we remain committed to building pathways that connect learning to livelihood.

At TCKZone we’re empowering youths to lead and innovate.

At TCKZone our mission has never been about quick wins it has always been about building a future where no child is left behind in the digital world.

The reality is sobering with over 90 million children in Sub-Saharan Africa are out of school and even those who are enrolled often lack access to the digital tools and skills that will define their future. In Nigeria alone fewer than 30 percent of schools have access to functional ICT facilities.

This is why we show up again and again in classrooms communities and rural towns with laptops training materials and a vision that every child no matter where they are deserves to know how to type code design and think digitally.

When we see children touch a computer for the first time when they create something that excites them when they discover that they too can belong in the digital space we are reminded that this is the heart of our work.

Our focus has not changed and will not change we remain committed to building bridges of opportunity through our digital skills fellowship programs hands-on trainings and mentorship.

We know the statistics but we also see the faces the stories and the dreams. Every community we step into reminds us why this mission is urgent.

We believe that every child should not only understand what digital literacy means but also know how to apply it in their daily lives.

Gaining this knowledge at a young age can guide them when the time comes to choose a career path as they grow.

Our time in Kwara State was truly a great experience. We had the opportunity to work with students and teach them the fundamental skills needed to use a computer. 💻

During our sessions, we introduced them to the basics of computing.

One of the key areas we focused on was typing. We guided them on how to place their fingers correctly on the keyboard and helped them practice typing simple words and sentences. 🤗👏

We also taught them how to use a computer for their work and daily tasks.

We were happy to see the students gain new skills. We hope that what they have learned will continue to benefit them.

Our time in Government Technical College, Mayne, Calabar, was an exceptional one, guiding children and helping them understand the basis of tech skills by introducing coding using scratch.

Our aim is to continue equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced digital world.
