OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE MALICIOUS DEFAMATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST ALHAJI AWA IBRAHEEM FCA (BRIMO)

Date: Thursday 27th November 2025

The Offa Youth Impact Initiative (OYII) issues this official public statement in response to the malicious, unfounded, and deliberately orchestrated smear campaign being circulated by a certain self-acclaimed “Islamic cleric,” whose recent defamatory broadcast targets one of Offa’s most distinguished sons, Alhaji AWA Ibraheem FCA (Brimo).

For clarity and the avoidance of doubt:

This organization will not allow the reputation of a man who has served Offa, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large with unparalleled distinction to be dragged into the mud by individuals driven by vendetta, envy, manipulation, and agenda-sponsored propaganda. The said video is not an act of religious counsel; it is a coordinated assault designed to tarnish the image of a patriotic citizen whose contributions tower above the personal achievements of those attacking him.

The cleric’s allegations are false.
His claims are malicious.
His intentions are dangerous.
And his sponsors—wherever they are hiding—should know that Offa will not be their playground.

Alhaji AWA Ibraheem FCA is a national asset and one of the most consistent private contributors to educational advancement, Islamic scholarship, youth empowerment, community development, and philanthropic initiatives across Nigeria.

His decades-long record includes the establishment and funding of educational institutions, scholarships, Arabic learning centers, mosques, youth initiatives, community endowments, and public-benefit projects nationwide.

He is not a politician.
He is not an extremist.
He is not aligned with any anti-social or destabilizing group.

The Offa Youth Impact Initiative finds it both laughable and insulting that anyone would insinuate that a man whose life work revolves around education, peace, and humanitarian service would sponsor the very elements that destroy society. Such claims are not just irresponsible — they are an assault on truth and a direct provocation to the entire Offa community.

This attack is not a religious argument.
It is not constructive criticism.
It is an orchestrated attempt to smear Offa by destroying the credibility of one of its finest ambassadors.

The Offa Youth Impact Initiative therefore issues the following five mandatory and non-negotiable demands:

1. OFFA TRADITIONAL AND CIVIC LEADERSHIP MUST ISSUE IMMEDIATE PUBLIC STATEMENTS
Kabiyesi, Olofa-in-Council, and the Offa Descendants Union (ODU) must jointly release firm, clear, and unambiguous public statements denouncing the defamatory broadcast and reaffirming the impeccable character and public service record of Alhaji AWA Ibraheem FCA.

2. CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS MUST BE FILED WITH BOTH THE IGP AND DSS
OYII demands the immediate submission of a formal petition to the Inspector General of Police, as well as a parallel petition to the DSS, requesting full investigation into the cleric, his motives, his sponsors, and any organized network behind this malicious hate campaign.

3. THE CLERIC MUST BE SUMMONED AND INTERROGATED BY SECURITY AGENCIES
The individual responsible for the defamatory broadcast must be compelled to present evidence for his allegations. Failure to provide verifiable proof should result in lawful consequences for incitement, hate speech, public disturbance, and defamation.

4. THE DEFAMATORY VIDEO AND ALL RELATED CONTENT MUST BE TAKEN DOWN IMMEDIATELY
All versions of the offensive broadcast circulating on social media, WhatsApp groups, and digital platforms must be reported, flagged, and removed without delay to prevent further misinformation and community agitation.

5. THE GLOBAL OFFA COMMUNITY MUST RALLY PUBLICLY IN DEFENSE OF AWA IBRAHEEM FCA
All Offa citizens, organizations, associations, and diaspora networks must unite in issuing statements, counter-narratives, and public affirmations of AWA Ibraheem’s legacy, contributions, and exemplary service to the nation.

These are not suggestions.
These are not appeals.
These are mandatory institutional actions expected from every responsible authority committed to justice, peace, and community integrity.

The Offa Youth Impact Initiative emphasizes that:

An attack on AWA Ibraheem FCA is an attack on Offa’s identity, dignity, and collective reputation.
This organization will not tolerate targeted character assassination disguised as religious commentary or community criticism.

Let it be known:
Offa remembers its benefactors.
Offa protects its own.
Offa does not bend to cheap propaganda.
Offa stands united against injustice.

This statement serves as both a defense of truth and a warning to those attempting to destabilize our community:

Offa will not be silent.
Offa will not be intimidated.
Offa will not allow anyone — cleric or otherwise — to malign its patriots.

WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY: THE BETRAYED LANTERNS OF OUR SOCIETY

By Prince Salako Olamilekan Lukman

"If you kill the lamp, don’t expect to walk home in brightness."

Today, the world sings praises of teachers, but in truth, the very communities that should shield them spit in their faces. Teachers—the makers of doctors, the builders of engineers, the torch that lights the path of presidents—are forced to walk home in darkness. Their candles burn to give light to generations, yet society leaves them to wither in misery.

What crime did teachers commit to deserve this curse of ingratitude? Parents mo**st them, governments mock them with salaries that can’t buy dignity, and society tramples their pride. The hunter who slaughters his own guard dog should not cry when thieves raid his compound. That is exactly how we treat teachers.

"A society that mocks its teachers digs its own grave."

The profession that once held prestige now bleeds respect. The brightest minds escape teaching for greener pastures, while classrooms are filled with tired souls counting days to retirement or dropouts teaching what they never mastered. Even the teachers’ so-called leaders, who should fight for their dignity, have become corrupt puppets—fattened by crumbs while their followers remain blind, docile, and broken.

"When the shepherd is blind, the flock will graze into the mouth of wolves."

Our children, poisoned by a society that worships quick wealth and fraudsters, now despise teachers. Pupils mock them; students spit arrogance at them. No child kneels to say, “I want to be a teacher.” Why? Because the image society paints is one of poverty, disgrace, and frustration. Teaching has become the last refuge for the poor, the unlucky, and the unconnected. The irony bites deeper: teachers in private schools cannot afford the very fees their schools demand, while teachers in public schools dodge their own classrooms by enrolling their children in private institutions. A tragic comedy!

"When the drummer forgets the rhythm, the dancer will stumble."

What message are we sending to the young? That the most honorable job is the most wretched? That the profession that builds all other professions is a curse? That a teacher’s child should inherit misery because their parent chose knowledge over vanity?

The truth is raw and bitter: teachers are candles burning themselves to light the way for others. But what happens when the candle melts into nothingness? Who then will guide the next generation? Society forgets that when the teacher’s fire dies, the entire community is plunged into darkness.

"The axe forgets, but the tree remembers." Teachers remember every insult, every humiliation, every unkept promise. They carry the wounds of being underpaid, underappreciated, and overlooked. And yet, they continue to pour water on seeds that will never thank them.

On this World Teachers’ Day, let the world choke on its hypocrisy. Do not clap for teachers if you will not fight for their dignity. Do not sing songs if you will not raise their salaries. Do not call them nation-builders if you will continue to make them beggars.

"A lamp that lights others must not be left to walk home in darkness."

Teachers gave you the lamp that led you to your destination. Don’t let them trek back home in shadows, hungry, humiliated, and hopeless. A nation that kills its teachers has already signed the death warrant of its own future.

To my dedicated teachers worldwide, though I have nothing material to offer, _*I vow to use the pen you’ve guided me to master to champion your cause and fight for your rights.*_ You deserve a life of dignity and fulfilment. 😭😭😭😭 I remember you today and will forever remember you always ❤️💙💛
