A Message from the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ukwuani Chapter

Just because it's easy to get doesn't mean it's good for you or your future.

The increasing abuse of drugs, harmful substances and sachet alcohol is a growing threat to our youths, families and communities. What may seem like a temporary escape can lead to addiction, poor health, violence, broken dreams and lost opportunities.

The NYCN Ukwuani Chapter calls on every young person to make informed decisions and choose a lifestyle that promotes health, productivity and purpose. Your future is too valuable to be exchanged for a moment of pleasure.

Let's reject drug abuse, discourage the misuse of alcohol and encourage one another to make healthier choices.

Every two minutes, a woman loses her life to cervical cancer—a disease that is largely preventable.

The good news is that most cervical cancer cases can be prevented through HPV vaccination, regular screening and early detection.

Here are 5 important facts to remember:

🔹 HPV is very common and often has no symptoms.
🔹 Persistent HPV infection is the leading cause of cervical cancer.
🔹 HPV vaccines are safe, effective and lifesaving.
🔹 Early vaccination provides the best protection.
🔹 Regular cervical screening helps detect changes before they become cancer.

💜 Prevention is powerful and Awareness saves lives.

The NYCN Ukwuani Chapter encourages parents, youths and community leaders to support HPV vaccination, promote regular health checks and help protect our mothers, sisters and daughters.

Together, we can build a healthier future free from cervical cancer.

🚩 We joined the trend... but with a purpose.

Raising our banners high, for the future of our generation because as youths, our voices matter.

Let us use them to say NO to drug abuse, NO to cultism and YES to peace, unity and responsible living.

Security is everyone's responsibility and every youth has a role to play.

Be vigilant.

Watch against the distribution, promotion and encouragement of criminal and other harmful activities in our communities.

If you see something, say something.

Your timely action could save a life, protect a family and strengthen our community.

Together, we can build a society where young people thrive in peace, safety and purpose.

Build the youths, Build the nation.
