AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO: A CALL FOR DEVELOPMENT IN KPAKUNGU COMMUNITY
To His Excellency, Farmer Governor Umar Bago,
We, the collation of kpakungu Youth development (CKYD) of Kpakungu, Minna, write to you on behalf of the entire Kpakungu community. We extend our deepest appreciation for your relentless efforts towards building a new Niger State through urban renewal, infrastructural development, job creation, agricultural advancement, educational improvements, and healthcare enhancement.
Your tenure has been marked by significant strides in various sectors, reflecting your commitment to the betterment of Niger State.
The residents of Kpakungu have observed these positive changes and are inspired by your dedication and vision. We commend you for your leadership and for prioritizing the welfare of the people.
However, since the return of democracy in 1999, our community has not fully enjoyed the dividends of democracy like other areas. We humbly appeal to your esteemed office to extend your developmental initiatives to Kpakungu. Specifically, we request the construction of roads and proper drainage systems, which are crucial for our daily commutes and overall community well-being.
Additionally, we urge you to consider constructing a connecting bridge that will link Kpakungu with neighboring areas such as Gbaganu, Nikangbe, Barkin Sale, and Albishiri.
This infrastructure will not only facilitate easier movement but also promote economic activities and social integration among these communities.
Education is a cornerstone of development, and we plead for well-equipped schools in Kpakungu.
Our children deserve access to quality education that will prepare them for a brighter future.
Enhancing our educational facilities will ensure that the next generation is well-equipped to contribute to the state's progress.
Furthermore, we appeal for the engagement of our youth in meaningful employment opportunities. Youth restiveness remains a challenge, and providing job opportunities will help channel their energy positively, fostering peace and stability in our community.
Your Excellency, we believe in your vision and capacity to bring about transformative change. Your leadership has already set a high standard, and we are confident that with your intervention, Kpakungu will soon experience the much-needed development that has eluded us for so long.
In conclusion, we reiterate our gratitude for your ongoing efforts and humbly request that you consider our appeal. We are optimistic that under your leadership, Kpakungu will witness the infrastructural development and socio-economic progress that will improve the quality of life for all residents.
