DANIEL WAS NOT SAVED BECAUSE HE PRAYED! ✋🏼
Most Christians were taught that Daniel survived the lions' den because he prayed three times a day.
But that is not the main message of the story.
If prayer alone could stop lions, then every praying believer would never suffer persecution, imprisonment, or death.
So what is the real message hidden in Daniel's deliverance?
Let's dig deeper.
Daniel Chapter 6 tells us that Daniel was targeted by jealous men who could find no fault in him except concerning his relationship with God (Daniel 6:4-5).
The governors manipulated King Darius into signing a law that no one could make a petition to any god or man except the king for thirty days (Daniel 6:7-9).
Daniel knew the decree had been signed, yet he continued praying openly toward Jerusalem (Daniel 6:10).
Notice something important:
Daniel was not delivered from the den.
He was delivered IN the den.
God did not stop the conspiracy.
God did not stop the arrest.
God did not stop the trial.
God did not stop the sentence.
God met Daniel in the place of death.
That is where the Christ message begins to emerge.🙌🏼
THE CHRIST HIDDEN IN DANIEL'S DEN
📌 Daniel is a shadow pointing to Christ.
Just as Daniel was innocent, Jesus was innocent.
Daniel 6:4
"They could find none occasion nor fault..."
John 19:4
"I find no fault in him."
Daniel was betrayed by jealous leaders.
Jesus was delivered because of envy.
Mark 15:10
Daniel was condemned under an irreversible law.
Jesus was condemned under the demands of the Law.
Daniel was placed in a sealed den.
Jesus was placed in a sealed tomb.
Daniel 6:17
Matthew 27:66
A stone was rolled over Daniel's den.
A stone was rolled over Christ's tomb.
Daniel emerged alive from a place of death.
Jesus rose victorious from the grave.
Daniel's deliverance resulted in a decree honoring God throughout the empire.
Christ's resurrection resulted in the Gospel being proclaimed to all nations.
Daniel was a picture.
Jesus is the fulfillment.
THE ANGEL IN THE DEN
Daniel said in Daniel 6:22
"My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths..."
Many Old Testament appearances of "the Angel of the Lord" reveal God's saving presence among His people.
Some scholars see this as another picture of Christ, the One who stands between God's people and destruction.
The same Christ who stood with Daniel would later enter humanity's greatest lion's den, death itself and conquer it for us.
📌 The greatest miracle in Daniel 6 is not that the lions didn't eat Daniel.
The greatest miracle is that Daniel remained faithful before he knew the outcome.‼️
Many believers today obey God because they expect protection.
Daniel obeyed God even if protection never came.
That sounds more like Jesus in Gethsemane than modern prosperity preaching.
Daniel never prayed because he had a guarantee of escape.⚠️
He prayed because God was worthy of worship.🙌🏼
There is a difference.
The story is not teaching>Serve God and no lions will come.
The story teaches thar Serve God because He is God, even when lions come.
LESSONS FOR HUMANITY
1️⃣ Integrity will often attract opposition.
Psalm 34:19
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous..."
2️⃣ Faithfulness is proven under pressure, not comfort.
James 1:2-4
3️⃣ God does not always remove the trial, but He promises His presence in it.
Isaiah 43:2
Hebrews 13:5
4️⃣ Human laws may oppose God's truth, but God's authority remains supreme.
Acts 5:29
"We ought to obey God rather than men."
5️⃣ Every believer's deliverance points ultimately to Christ's resurrection victory.
Romans 8:11
1 Corinthians 15:54-57
THE GOSPEL IN DANIEL'S DEN
The lions' den represents humanity's greatest enemy>death.
Daniel came out alive temporarily.
Jesus came out alive eternally.
Daniel escaped physical death.
Jesus defeated death itself.
Because Christ rose, every believer can face life's lions with confidence.
2 Timothy 1:10
"Who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."

When Pressure Comes...Just Say No!
As soon as you get the revelation of the law of confession and begin to walk in it, you are going to experience all kinds of pressure. The devil and his demons will work overtime to throw circumstances and unbelieving people in your path to try to get you to move away from your confession of faith in God and His Word. The world you live in is programmed to cause doubt and unbelief wherever you go. And your flesh might be your biggest challenge, especially if you are not used to living your life according to God’s Word instead of just doing whatever feels good at the time. Your old, carnal nature is selfish, negative, often afraid, and easily offended. So you must be aware of these enemies to your creative words of faith and know how to handle them. A World of Hate
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 I once heard a story of a lady who said, “Preacher, you really did preach good tonight. You really cleaned out some cobwebs tonight.” The preacher replied, “Sister, come on back tomorrow night, and we’re going to kill the spider.” We have to kill the spider because he is busy trying to build webs of hatred and bitterness in your life. Read verse 20 again—hatred is a work of the flesh. If you read the newspapers, surf the Internet blogs, or watch television news programs, you will catch on quickly that the world runs on hatred. It runs on hatred because that is the essence of Satan’s character, and he is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4).
Satan means “adversary.”1 He is the ultimate adversary, or one who opposes, because he is the adversary of God, who is lov

LONG BUT WORTH READING

Be addicted to doing things the right way .

Those little things, even when no one is watching.

Obey traffic rules.
Don’t run one-way. Attempting to cut five minutes can send you to the hospital for five years or to the grave for eternity.

Brush your teeth morning and night. It won’t take you more than five minutes to do so. Help yourself so that people don’t hide their faces when you open your mouth.

Keep your kitchen clean, Nkechi. To wash those dirty plates won’t take you 20 minutes.

If you must send a DM to people, make sure the message is well structured so that they can take you seriously.

If you have work to do, pay attention and do it properly or don’t do it at all.

If you are in the midst of other people, listen to whatever you are playing on your device with an earbuds. You shouldn’t be disturbing everyone else. We did not make you our DJ.

Address people with respect, whether you are bigger or smaller than them. It won’t remove anything from who you are.

Don’t always visit people empty handed. Buy something for them even if it’s just biscuit.

If you hangout with friends, don’t always let others pay the bill. Contribute, no matter how little.

Stop throwing sachet water nylons and pure water bags out of moving vehicles. The road is not your dustbin. The flooding that destroys your neighbourhood every rainy season is partly your fault.

When you are at a government office, airport, or bank, join the queue. You are not more important than the people who arrived before you. That entitlement will not take you far in life.

Pay your artisans and domestic staff on time. That plumber, your house help, the okada man. They have families too. Owing people who work with their hands is a form of oppression.

When someone is talking to you, drop your phone. Not on the table facing up. Drop it. Looking someone in the eye when they speak to you is a form of respect that costs nothing.

Stop overspeeding on expressways because you are late. Benin-Ore road is not a racetrack. Your lateness is your problem. Do not make it everyone else’s funeral.

If you are a landlord, fix what is broken in your property. Stop collecting rent and ignoring leaking roofs and broken doors. Your tenants are not your enemies.

Learn to say sorry when you are wrong. It does not diminish you. The person who cannot apologize is the one who is actually small.

Mind your generator noise after 11pm. Your neighbours have children who have school in the morning. You are not the only person living in that compound.

Stop borrowing money and going quiet. Pick up the call. Respond to the message. Tell the person the truth about your situation. Silence is not a repayment plan.

When you enter a shared taxi or danfo, shift properly. You paid for one seat, not one and a half. The person beside you also has a body.

If someone gives you a referral or connects you to an opportunity, update them. Tell them what happened. That five-second message of gratitude is how relationships are maintained. Silence after a favour is a form of ingratitude.

Stop parking your car in front of other people’s gates. You are not the only one who needs to move. That two-minute stop has kept someone late for something important.

Return things you borrow. The book, the charger, the pot, the money, the wig oh Jennifer. If you cannot return it, say so. Keeping what belongs to someone else and acting normal around them is a character flaw.

If you are eating at a buka or restaurant, do not leave the table looking like a disaster. Push your plate aside. Wipe what you spilled. The woman cleaning up after you is not your servant.

Stop selling substandard goods and calling it business. Watering down your product, selling expired items, repackaging fake medicine. You are not being smart. You are being dangerously evil.

If you are a boss, greet your staff in the morning. A simple good morning changes the entire atmosphere of a workplace. Leadership is not a licence to be cold.

Do what you said you would do, when you said you would do it. In this country, follow-through has become so rare that it now counts as a talent. Do not let that be your reputation.

Don’t copy other people’s content without giving them due credit. Such behavior is proof of your emptiness.

And calm down and make reasonable comments on posts you feel like commenting on. Stop that nonsense copy and paste. You are exhibiting traits of a hoodlum.
