Environmental Awareness & Climate Education Program - February 19th, 2026
As part of our first environmental awareness and educational outreach for 2026, we engaged students of Great Champion School, Gbagi, Airport Road, Ibadan, Oyo State in an interactive climate education session.
This impactful program was inspired by the momentum of the African Climate Justice Caravan (ACJC) 2025, which took place in November along the Gbagi- Airport Road axis. Building on that experience, the session focused on climate change, environmental responsibility, waste management, and the vital role young people play in protecting their environment.
The students participated actively, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine enthusiasm about becoming environmental champions within their school and community.
To ensure sustainability and continuous engagement, we also established an Environmental Club in the school. The club will serve as a platform for ongoing climate education, practical environmental activities, and youth-led green initiatives.
This marks a significant step in sustaining climate justice awareness at the grassroots level, especially among young learners, as advocacy continues to translate into practical education and action.
📚 The future of climate action starts with informed and empowered children.
