ATTENTION MY TEEMING SUPPORTERS ACROSS ZONE A
My good people of Zone A, especially my teeming and enthusiastic supporters, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to you for your steadfast support for my aspirations. I deeply acknowledge your overwhelming commitment and dedication despite the odds deliberately placed on our path.
I would like to restate here that I am in this race for the Senate seat, not for personal gains but for the single reason that I want to open up opportunities for our disadvantaged populace to experience the dividends of democracy and meaningful development. Rest assured that I am still committed to this prospect whether I get elected or not.
Meanwhile, I would like to draw your attention to the developments that have taken place regarding the preparation for the party primary for the Senate seat of Zone A. In the past few days, I have taken steps to reach an amicable understanding with my co-contestants( including two of us that were not cleared by our Party- APC) that would produce a consensus candidate ahead of the primaries. However, unknown to us, a hidden scheme was planned by the state machinery to bypass a constitutional and party due process in the election of candidates for the general elections.
Consequently, our efforts have been rendered fruitless by the dark hand working behind the scenes to truncate the process. Nonetheless, despite this development, I am relentless:
A. in the pursuit of my declared intention.
B. deliver on my promise to the people of Nigersouth and the State even if eventually A above is not achieved.
C. In respect of B above, I hereby implore my LGA coordinators and trusted party members to expedite the workout of modalities for the distribution of the projects and scholarships I earlier promised our children across the Senatorial District.
In the meantime, I urge my teeming supporters and party members to remain calm and steadfast as we take stock of the unfolding situation. Whatever the outcome of the supposed ‘direct primary’, I want us to remain law abiding and not recourse to violence. In due course, I will issue a clear and definite message about the way forward.
