This is also a way to virtually walk for the HBCUs Run the District 5K!

We are excited to facilitate nominations for our Howard University Alumni Club of Howard County 2026-2028 Executive Board Elections. Members can nominate themselves or nominate another member. We are looking to ensure that the following positions of our Executive Board are filled: President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer.

ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS!

To find out more about the individual positions and to submit a nomination, please complete the form in the linktr.ee/huac_hcmd and sent via email by Wednesday, April 22nd. The voting period will begin on May 24th through June 7th.

Our HU Bison Sister and HUAC-Howard County Alumni Club member, Coach Sheranda Smith, is founder of Trailblazers Health and Wealth, LLC. Five years ago, Coach Sheranda launched her coaching practice to support professional aged 35 + women on their paths to holistic health. Sheranda is a certified health coach and a true fitness and outdoor enthusiast. She runs full and half marathons and practices a variety of wellness techniques such as yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness.

Sheranda started her transformation into the holistic health at age 44 while she was prediabetic, obese, and overwhelmed. She embraced a health program, shed 80 pounds, started coaching other women to do the same, and shifted her mindset.

Today, Coach Sheranda is growing her coaching practice empowering thousands to adopt a healthy lifestyle and habits focused on weight loss and management, nutrition and hydration, movement, sleep, emotional management, and healthy environments.

Trailblazers Health and Wealth by Coach Sheranda integrates individuals into a proven health program and designs and facilitates signature seminars, workshops, speaking engagements, and fitness activities for employers and non-profit organizations.
